Weird play, Pulisic dribbling at top of box, loses balance, perhaps because of being pushed, falls dangerously into Klose's legs. Hopefully he can keep playing, everyone concerned, nice sportsmanship by Pulisic and Giroud. CP has been involved in multiple physical plays early.
after playing 0 for 4 months too will say looks like he doesnt really combine well with anyone else out there rn. him and alonso are brutal together
Knocking on the woodwork now - Rudiger's good cross falls to Pulsic inside the box, turns for some space and blasts off of the crossbar. Maybe Krul touched it just enough to push it onto the bar.
Wow, that was almost an amazing golazo by CP. Forces a fingertip save after a great touch, back to goal then swivel-shot.
I've watched Norwich before. They're not a team that can keep a bunker for 90'. There's a reason they have a -41 GD.
He bobbled the ball on his control and required a second touch, then shot down the center of the goal. Not a bad effort, but room for improvement. Now, if he got that exactly right with 1 touch control and then put it in the left corner of the net that's on the highlight reel of every player in the world, so not easy for sure.
Perfect cross, right height, right on the six yard line. Great strength and body position by Giroud, and it was going in unless it was right at Krul's chest. Nice goal, and right before the half is hugely helpful. Great assist.
That little area to the left of the penalty box is Pulisic's dominion. If you let him settle the ball and face towards the area you are a dead man.
That is a beautiful cross and if he can hit those kinds of passes consistently, it only opens up more ways for him to hurt you and makes his other tools that much more effective. If he starts passing well enough that you have to decide to defend the pass or the dribble, that's a deal breaker. When players know he's going to dribble, he's hard to stop. If they have to worry about his stopping and picking out a pass like that even part of the time, it is big for his overall game.
