Wow. Amazing that someone can come from a tiny German club and make an impact in the premiership. Unbelievable really.

    He got his goals...

Now he needs to setup his teammate and get in that assist.

Not again! I was on the couch last night (but only because I went to the Detroit Beerfest and dozed off once I got home.)

Good on 'Lumpy' for the tactical selection.

He's done really well. You can tell he's had strong instructions to get more shots off.

Well, that's fun. No doubt he was going far post on the shot- keeper read it that way. Total luck off the deflection, but he put himself in the position to get lucky.

Also, please note it was a great interception from Willian that started the play.

Likely more of a rotation look ahead IMO. Pulisic earned it but this team needs to rotate through the congestion of the holidays

He wants that hattrick. Looked as if Mount was annoyed by him not passing.

if you keep attacking and shooting ... there is a nonzero probability they are going to go in. Lumpy must have told him to get stuck in and get at it. Brace in 45 mins is a nice way to heed your manager.

he can make up for that in the second half by finding Mount and an assist.

Scoring a brace obviously puts him in a good light, but just as important he's decisive, proactive. His body language says it all. Very encouraging.

Half of word clad goalscorer goals are deflections, you just have to SHOOT. This has been CP’s biggest weakness, the willingness to pull the trigger and this is what happens when he does that.

It's amazing how much more he produces when played on the left with a license to cut in and drive at the heart of the defense, as opposed to hugging the right touch line all game. I don't know if Chelsea will be a great fit long term, but he absolutely made the right call to get out of bvb. Stoeger, bocz and favre had no clue how to use him.

that's how soccer works. not every goal is expertly placed in a corner... you shoot it hard and on target, good things often happen.
