Pulisics done well, when he’s touched the ball, which is not often . Everything running through Leao right now in the first 12 minutes
Bologna is so aggressive in every facet, like last match, I don’t think they can sustain that for 90. If Milan is patient and holds strong, more chances will open up
Being played at Olimpico, which Transfermarkt claims is 66m wide (FIFA's ideal width is 68m wide): https://www.transfermarkt.com/as-roma/stadion/verein/12 For comparison, NYCFC's pitch at Yankee Stadium is around 64m wide
Pretty much. Well within the "normal" widths in Europe. I believe pitch length is a bigger point of contention in Italy (Napoli is 110m long, while most of the others are 105m)
NGL, I think Ferguson got EXACTLY what he was bargaining for with that tackle... honestly, he's a little lucky to get away with just a yellow
After the end of the half, Rafa was trying his hardest to also get a YC for dissent, but I understand his frustration.
Good news is AC Milan scored around 60%+ of their goals in the 2nd half, so we can be optimistic about lifting the trophy.
A criminal offense if so. Should have been 1-0, a square ball would have easily done it, Pulisic had beat his man. I had to step away for a bit, but from what I saw for most of the half, Puli was up for it. Some of his teammates....not so much. And now I'm wondering if he gets subbed early bc of the yellow, which was a total joke. You can tell what kind of ref this guy is, he wants to be a star in the show:
It would have to be an inch perfect cross because the defender was right there to clear almost any cross. In no way was that criminal, Leao has been the most dangerous player for Milan. Referee has been bad though.
hmmm, I'll have to rewatch to sequence. And I am not questioning Leao's peformance - just that one decision. There was no way he could score form that angle, from what I recall
Fair, I just don't think it was criminal if he missed the cross or shot because it wouldn't be a tap in for Pulisic from the replays I saw. It didn't look like Leao needed to only square it for a sure goal type of thing. If that makes sense.
Bologna scores, but there might be a VAR review, as the first pass unlocking the move was reaaaal close
