Fair enough - I am not gonna try to put him in a category with Kaka, Maldini, etc Club legend is likely a stretch, but what he has done consistently for 2.5 seasons at Milan, I don't think we have had a Yank at an elite club have that kind of spell consistently for that long.

He’s playing centrally but having to drop deep into midfield at times. His decision making has been poor. Forcing passes that just aren’t there. Dribbling into defenders. And now Kone gives the visitors the lead. Milan look terrible. And Pulisic is a big reason why.

Sassuolo has a lot of size and strength, are doing well at deflecting and poking away balls and seem very organized in defense - but they are working very hard as the cede possession to Milan. I have a feeling that sustained effort can’t last the whole match. Things may open up soon for Milan, if they don’t give up a 2nd. Pulsic not doing much at the moment. Pulisic is coming back for the ball and getting it with his back to the goal, which is usually 40+ yards away. By the time Pulisic turns with the ball the midfield has abandoned him and has turned into a very flat front four across the top of the box. Turnover ensues. Repeat.

Sassuolo’s 11 men behind the ball defense finally breaks down. A few balls rolled across the six cleared in just a few minutes, but one finally makes it to the back post and is finished for 1-1.
