The Chelsea subreddit went from calling for Puli to be subbed out bc he’s not good enough to blaming Potter for the goal bc he subbed Puli out. LOL.
The only place people are saying he was "very good" is here, the usual 3 or 4 people who always have him as MOTM. Sofascore (I don't care about them but people here often use them) put him as one of the worst for Chelsea, only above Kepa, Benoit and Wesley so far: https://www.sofascore.com/everton-chelsea/BQy Maybe it's time to face your own personal bias. PS: Whoscored agrees with Sofa: https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1640923/Live/England-Premier-League-2022-2023-Chelsea-Everton IMO he was better than those two give him credit. But who knows. I may be biased for him, even if not THAT biased as some others.
I think I've posted here long enough to comfortably trust my opinion over yours, or the Chelsea fanbase's for that matter.
My personal bias? I’ve criticized some of his performances more than others. I just know a decent game when I see one. But apparently you and the Robbie’s disagree. Fine
Kepa is terrible. Not just because of the saves he fails to make, but because he has no control at all over his defense. One of the main roles of the keeper is to direct his defenders. Kepa doesn't do that at all. He's a major sunk cost and they should have moved on.
there were a few times (1st half) when Enzo could have sent a longer ball over the top or to the side to Pulisic and he just did not.
Havertz only scores classy goals. They need someone who can score some dirty goals. Though it's hard to argue for more transfers at Chelsea....
Bunch of players who fail to click as a team. Since they have changed managers and the situation continues, it's obvious to me that they lack one guy in the locker room that brings them all together. They could use a mature, intelligent, good at the social game dude. Someone like Ream.
Christian primarily played a ball progressor role today and was effective at that. He helped unbalance the defense. He didn’t have many final third chances to create or score. How much is on him, teammates, luck, the setup? Not sure. But it seemed like a 6.5 or 7 performance to me.
