You are correct. Improvement as things went on. Werner was terrible - over ran them endline a half dozen times. Way to stretch the field!

Werner also had the least touched of any Chelsea outfield player. Defensive work rate, his “intangible “ was garbage as well. Tuchel will stick with him no matter what.

Did you know we had a Pulisic PBP thread?!? Hudson-Odoi limping a little, so CP watch may be on soon.

Hudson-Odoi perfect low cross between defender and keeper, and Ziyech completes a simple finish. 1-0.

Why is Havertz playing up top?

Pulisic making nice runs in the box that are being picked out well by teammates.

Second chipped pass into a CP run, loses his footing under contact but manages to get it to Alonso, who is shut down quickly. Active runs and looks just fine.

But he’s not controlling the ball very well. To be expected in his first game back.

CP with two great runs into the box, need to stay on his feet.

Agreed. He needed to be a bit stronger and more decisive once the passes were completed. But they were good runs. Credit for what he did well, returning from a long absence to game speed.

Since CP replaced CHO, he better get a goal and assist....otherwise his rating would be like a 2/10 lol

I think they may have switched to a 3-5-2 with Havertz and Pulisic up top when the made the subs, but if it's still a 3-4-3, he's on the right up top.

CP playing smart -- making good little runs, looking to get others involved, taking up positions between the lines. He and Havertz are working well to mess with that low block.

What a dive by the Malmö player, to draw a card. Dude literally stopped, dragged both feet like he was an NFL wide receiver trying to get 2 feet down inbounds, and then threw himself on the ground holding his face. What a joke.

still willing to barrel around the pitch so that's a sign he's not letting the injury affect him mentally

Not a great day to be imitating an NFL wide receiver

How do you not wear the proper cleats for this? He’s slipped literally 4 times.
