Abraham and Pulisic only attacking options on the bench - highly likely he'll play unless they have a two-goal lead, I'd suspect. More interesting thing to me is the more attacking midfield than normal - Kante may actually be a true 6, with Havertz and Mount both playing more advanced, but we'll see.
This game has been pretty interesting thus far leeds with an early goal and werner bungled a far post sitter off a corner
A couple nice plays by Pulisic at the end of the half, but wasn't rewarded due to bad decision making by teammates. First, Chilwell should have clipped the ball over the defender after Christian's lead pass. Then James should have passed back to him in the box after the switch.
In fairness, Pulisic had a couple bad touches himself, to spurn chances. He has not been sharp. Not bad, but not sharp either.
I only remember his very first touch of the match being poor when Leeds had a turnover from the back, and his inability to control a tough ball didn't allow him a shot. Not surprising given he didn't warm up at all. Other than that he's been pretty on top of things. He narrowly missed an almost inch perfect through ball to Chilwell but that certainly wasn't a bad touch and he's had some useful turns, touches and direct runs upfield.
He had what I consider an easy pass to slip someone into the edge of the box, and he played the ball inside instead of outside, which allowed the defender to scramble the play. He also fumbled another ball that ended in a turnover. I support Pulisic on the field 100%. But he has not been sharp.
That ball had some juice on it and his touch was not bad, just not perfect. It would have been a hell of a play for him to get a shot off there.
