If the players don't return, they'll call up youngsters from Zacatepec to fill in. Man, with Puebla only a couple of points from the relegation spot, this was not a good time for this to happen. Tuesday's trouble began when Fernandez barred defender Joaquin Velasquez and midfielder Marco Antonio Capetillo from training because of alleged indiscipline. Fifteen more players then abandoned the practice, leaving Fernandez -- who later in the day announced that he was firing Colombian midfielder Mauricio Serna for "lack of respect" -- with only seven youth and reserve team players. "I have the right to separate any players I want to and I'm not worried (about the walkout), I'll field the young players," Fernandez told reporters. "While I'm here neither Serna nor Capetillo nor Velazquez will play again," he added. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=262746&cc=5901
Hugo Fernandez true to his word. Another one bites the dust. http://www.esmas.com/deportes/futbol/286249.html
Fernandez is right in that Serna just came to Mexico for the money as he has been pure crap. If he was in Cruz Azul, Alvarez and Palencia would have stoned him. He may replace Bebeto as the poster boy for "foreigner who just came to steal money".
