Went to the Rapids this year, specifically to our media director Jurgen Mainka and German Sferra.

Having met and "worked" alongside both of them, the award is certainly well deserved.

Hopefully, KSE hasn't nixed either of these two as they've been pivotal in the Rapids' media and PR success. It'd be a travesty to lose either.

Well, KSE did mess up big time! German Sferra is no longer with the Rapids as he has taken a job with the MLS Headquarters in New York City. Jurgen was one of the very few and I do mean few that was asked back. So much for keeping a winning PR team. Way to go Kroenke.

I don't understand this ... did German want to stay with the Rapids? I mean it seems he's moved up the ladder ... so I don't see how KSE blew this?

Can you be sure that it's somehow KSE's fault that German Sferra is no longer with the Rapids?

Again - not every Rapids staffer who left was fired. Some left for positions that were simply not attainable within KSE in terms of job hierarchy and position. I can't say what my source is, but I know it for a fact.

I again am going to say that there will be people better than the Rapids old staff working at KSE. They have had the resources and great teams to work behind (the Aves) and know what to do to sell tickets, promote the sport, etc. I am sure German and whoever were good, but KSE is going to be better.

Hey, if KSE can get the Rapids 400 sellout games in a row, I'm ecstatic.

German accepted this job back in June, way before KSE officially took over. He didn't want to announce it until after the season and stay on and help Jurgen.

Don't see how KSE blew this, especially since German looked at this as a step up the ladder and couldn't turn down and opportunity like this.
