(This message is from Huss and JonnyQuest and is being posted in each forum by the moderators.)

Dear BigSoccer Members and Premium Members,

As we hope you all know and appreciate, we are always striving to make BigSoccer the best community it possibly can be. One of the keys to our community is our moderators. They work hard to provide a fun and safe environment for everyone on the site. Of course, we realize things don't always go smoothly and that when some people have praise others have complaints.

We are instituting a new procedure for reviewing our moderators, and that involves soliciting feedback from you. This is a serious excercise and we ask you to only participate if you take it seriously. We are asking you to post your praise and criticism, and suggestions, regarding the moderation of THIS PARTICULAR FORUM in this thread. Personal attacks will be binned (the mods have our approval to do this) and we are only looking for thoughtful criticisms or compliments. Though we'd prefer you didn't, if you are uncomfortable posting in public, please send EMAIL to help@bigsoccer.com.

    Thank you for your participation.

    Huss and JonnyQuest

A job performance review? Are the mods paid employees of BS?

    The QUAKES mods are fine.

I wouldn't ever want to be them.

The mods have been tough, but at the same time they are fair. Airblair and spejic have done a good job, but BlueMeanie has made a bigger impact.

I know people have criticized him for being strict, a "nazi moderator", or inflexible. However, he knows when to step back and when to intervene.

Right now, the three are doing a fine job, but just in case it gets to the point where it's tough to handle, then at least one or two people might be needed.

Our moderators are awesome. It seems like they know exactly when something has been taken too far and they're never scared to step in and say so.

Robert(Blue) is a fine example of a moderator who is aware of his and his fellow posters limits and won't suffer fools at all. Spejic is sarcastic and hates the quakes(but loves the clash) and takes a hands off approach. Don't know what happened to airblair, i think he moved to eastern mongolia.
PS: If you want nazi moderators, go to the Galaxy boards.

Other than being crabby and pessimistic, Spejic is fine.
    ;)

In all seriousness, this is mostly a harmonious board. I hardly notice the mods, which is probably a sign that they do a great job.

You mean to tell me that all this time spejic has been serious? I always thought he was just putting us on and Zvonamir Boban was a figment of his imagination.
Our mods do well. Other boards get frozen into boredom because of their control freak mods. You know who you are!!! So there!!!

Our mods are good--I was a little "iffy" about Blue at first but now I like his approach. We could use another mod maybe though-sometimes we get overwhelmed with trolling and negative stuff that might get caught a little bit sooner if we had one more mod. Spejic is good, sometimes his sarcasm gets my goat but I like him anyway.

As far as who's moderating the Quakes boards, he's still on the list. He has disappeared here for a bit, unless he's just posting in the moderator boards.

spejic is the worst moderator on BigSoccer outside the Crew foum. He spends all his time on the Politics board, has an irrational hatred of Ronnie Ekelund, and has personally talked 57 people into postponing getting season tickets until the team goes back to cloudy jade uniforms. Worst of all, he thinks Landon has awesome abz.

I think our mods do a great job. I was a little hard on them at first, but now I realize that can't be Nazi's like some of the other boards, so I think they have reached a middle ground very well. I am happy that they are our mods:)

    Ahn supports Blue Meanie.
Anh remembers when things got ugly on the Random Jibberish thread, but BM held it together even when people said they were quitting Big Soccer.
Blue did a good job and the people who "quit" are posting as much as ever.
Anh says give BM a raise!

Note to BM: I AM allowed to state my opinion here.

I find the moderating (specifically BlueMeanie) in here to be unacceptable. I find it to be overbearing and overreactionary.
