I don't know what PSV will do. They have too many good players upfront for three places. Lozano has been bought 15 millions so he should play. He is much better on the left than on the right side. Locadia showed great things last year and I think he deserves his starting spot, even if I don't rate him very high, I like him and his mentality. He doesn't want to play on the left side anymore, he wants the ST spot. Luuk should leave since he probably won't accept to stay on the bench, and Lammers is already there. Then what to do on the RW ? Pereiro is a good player but he doesn't belong to that spot. Can Bergwijn play there ? Probably but it's not his best position neither. Considering all of this, it seems obvious PSV has to play 4-4-2. But even in this case it would mean Pereiro and Bergwijn would have to fight for one spot. Pity cause two good players. They need a better DM than Hendrix and a good CB too. Their team is clearly not ready for now.

Revisiting past history!!! PSV ran into financial problems when Ajax began their run of four straight league titles. PSV had counted on CL money and it didn't come in. IIRC the city of Eindhoven had to bail them out in some manner. Just disgusting.
Yup, Cocu just has to play them. Now they are kicked out of the EL and the budget is iffy they would be wise to follow the Feyenoord path when we were in even direr circumstances and load the team with the youth in the spots where it is needed. Locadia fell in my opinion to a non selection player by his comment that it was hard to charge himself up for a match against lower teams like the Croats. Right, you only want to play the biggies...Maybe you should send your resume to Barca or Real or United. You obviously are too big for the Eredivisie....It wasnot that you didnot perform well against Eredivisieclubs because of you, but because they were Eredivisie clubs. If I was PSV I put you on the transfer list ASAP. Make way for a PSV Youth kid.

Highly on PSV's list Columbian RB Luis Manuel Orejuela seems to have signed with Ajax. This is a major downer for PSV. PSV seems interested in an 18 year old Mexican RB Paolo Medina of Real Madrid. PSV is rumoured to be "chasing" Perr Schuurs, the Fortuna Sittard (17 year old!!) captain for the central defense. Liverpool seems to be interested too, but that is an option I would strongly disapprove at this age.

So the season has started. First the embarrassing loss against those Croatians. Ending a 43 year old streak of participations at an European club tournament. Also losing yet another big player with Pröpper. Although last season he was underwhelming, while his first season was sensational. But last weekend we saw a glimpse of the new PSV. And the last couple of days there a rumours we will sign a new left full back, namely Douglas Santos. The new full back is quite necassary, with Willems leaving Eindhoven. Don't know what to expect from the Brazilian. When I read on the internet it seems a Willems style of player. Great attacking but a liability defensively. What still need to be done is selling Ritzmaier, Maher and hopefully Luuk de Jong. The latter did well for two seasons. Last season was terrible. I wish him a nice new club, but we have to move on. Locadia gets his chance and Lammers should be given playing time as well. I also hope the club consider to either sell Schwaab or Isimat if we get a good offer. Both are good guys but not that great players. With Luckassen we already signed a new defender and de Wijs is also still there. If we can sign a new left footed centre back these would be a great addition to our squad if he is the same quality as Moreno. If not, we should give de Wijs a chance since he did well at Excelsior. Instead we should sign a right winger similar style and quality as Lozano.
PSV defenders Arias and Isimat-Mirin seem to be wanted abroad. If PSV sells them they have very short time to fill up the gaps.
