there's two forums for this game, but kqql's threads are kind of a tradition. anyway, i just read this article: http://football-italia.net/38228/boateng-milan-ready-psv and i couldn't be angrier at boateng. He says this, "There are still almost two weeks before we have to take it seriously, so we are perfectly within the planned schedule." You have to be kidding me!!! The game is next week. Now, i don't know when he said this, but this makes him sound like a bum. He should always be taking the opposition seriously, not just a few days before the game. What an idiot
Milan have submitted a 29-man squad to UEFA for their Champions League play-off tie against PSV Eindhoven. The Rossoneri, who had until midnight this evening to do so, have left out four players who are currently sidelined with injuries. Those unavailable players are Jherson Vergara, Daniele Bonera, Riccardo Saponara and Giampaolo Pazzini. A-list squad: Abbiati, Amelia, Gabriel; Abate, Antonini, Constant, De Sciglio, Mexes, Silvestre, Zaccardo, Zapata; K.P. Boateng, Cristante, De Jong, Emanuelson, Montolivo, Muntari, Nocerino, Poli, Traorè; Balotelli, El Shaarawy, Niang, Robinho. B-list squad: Andrenacci, K. Boateng, Iotti, Petagna, Pinato. http://football-italia.net/38276/milan’s-champions-league-squad
That is what I have been wondering. I'm anxious to see the kid! Do we know anything about his injury?
Robinho and Mattia De Sciglio have been ruled out of Milan’s Champions League qualifier against PSV Eindhoven. Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has named a 21-man squad for Tuesday’s first leg game in Holland and the duo haven’t made it for fitness reasons. Italy striker Mario Balotelli, as expected, is in the party after he missed the international against Argentina last week with a swollen knee. Squad: Abbiati, Amelia, Coppola; Abate, Constant, Mexes, Silvestre, Zaccardo, Zapata; Boateng, Cristante, De Jong, Emanuelson, Montolivo, Muntari, Nocerino, Poli; Balotelli, El Shaarawy, Niang, Petagna. http://www.football-italia.net/38518...-psv-eindh Looks like Muntari/Nocerino will start next to De Jong and Montolivo. I would of preferred Poli tbh. He's looked better than both of those traffic cones.
psv appear to be playing well. 3 wins out of 3 in the eredivisie and 11/2 goal difference. i hope we're ready tomorrow.
2 - On the last 2 occasions that they started in the play-off round, AC Milan have gone on to win the Champions League (2003, 2007). Omen.
I was really hoping De Sciglio would make it...oh well... Abate and Constant on the flanks, I wonder if Abate is even 50% ready to go but even at 50% he's still better than Zaccardo.
I'm under the impression that Emanuelson will play left back ahead of Constant. Allegri: "Boateng, Balotelli and El Shaarawy will be the strikers tomorrow vs. PSV. Petagna and Niang will be on the bench." Allegri: "I still have doubts about who will play as a left back and on the left side of the midfield tomorrow." Allegri: "Seeing as Muntari is suspended for Saturday's match vs. Verona, I think that we need fresh players for tomorrow's match Tomorrow should be fun.
i'm having trouble focusing at the office today. between the milan match and little brother's first match of his senior season of high school ball, it's going to be a great day. i believe he is still recovering from injury. i couldn't tell you what happened to him though.
we line up like: abbiati abate-zapata-mexes-urby monto-ndj-muntari kpb-balo-ses disappointed to see muntari, but i guess i can live with it for the away leg. forza milan.
Beat these Dutch bastards and help the Italian coefficient. Also the host on Fox Sports just called SES Moroccan. Lol
