Re: PSG Transfer Thread Bordeaux considers Pauleta return http://news.maxifoot.com/info-076930_80417/football.php
Re: PSG Transfer Thread I thought Pauleta was retiring. If he's playing next year we should keep him in Paris. His wages may be a bit high, but he's the only player we've got that knows where the goal is.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Pauleta said some months ago that he felt some people (Cayzac, Le Guen) wanted him to leave. He'll remember that when it'll come time for him to pick up a new club to end his career by the end of the season. I would rather see him ending at Portugal than coming back to Bordeaux. I would like PSG to be his last French team. That's just my wish though. The best of luck to him.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Kevin Keegan was at the St. Etienne match scouting Diane and Gomis. It a shame that a great club like PSG thats fighting for its life has to worry about a foreign team that has a lot of foreigners looking to add more foreigners to help them. I guess if PSG go down then Diane is gone. Adding a Diane or Gomis isnt gonna help them much in trying to crack the top 4 anyway.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Diané and Gomis should not be labeled with the same brush. Gomis at best could be another Drogba. Diané at best could be another Malaventure Kalou.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Adding Christiano Ronaldo and Kaka wouldn't help Newcastle into the top 4. I think Diane could be good, but not at PSG. He needs to go somewhere else to get into a system that works for him.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread I haven't been much impressed with Diané, so I'll disagree, but nice comment.

Re: PSG Transfer Thread i think he's making fun of the fact that newcastle always sucks our team dry of its mid-level talent
Re: PSG Transfer Thread exactly that... except for the "our team dry of its mid-level talent" bit... and the fact that the town is one of the world's least desirable s***holes to live in, compared to paris (or even compared to eucq-sur-l'ourcq)... and the fact that keegan may have been a great player but as a manager he's in the bruno metsu category... and the fact that i can't imagine anyone imagining mickey owen as a dream teammate... need i go on?
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Oh ok. I was looking at a PSG board and some fans were saying they would be happy to get rid of him and others were saying he could be the next Adebayor or Benjani(ex French league forwards who are scoring goals in England) if he leaves.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread haha i assure you he wont become any of those things at newcastle. at portsmouth or westham or villa maybe, but not newcastle.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Now he says he was not contacted. http://news.maxifoot.com/info-078359_80515/football.php
Re: PSG Transfer Thread - Rothen stays at PSG. - Hoarau will join PSG since we avoided relegation. - There is a rumor about PSG being interested in Eduardo Costa (ex-Om, ex-Bordeaux).
Re: PSG Transfer Thread also mourinho is officially not coming to psg. supposedly we want ben arfa as well.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Seems everyone is linked to Ben Arfa these days. Rumors are that Arsenal are interested in Chantome. He's not a bad player, but I think he'd do well to stay at PSG. I guess we'll start hearing Elmander rumors after the Cup Final on Sat.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread - Chantôme needs to gain some more weight if he wants to join EPL. I guess he'd spend 1 year on the bench if he joins Arsenal to be fully adapted to EPL. No one expected Flamini to success there when he left Marseille but he did it. Perhaps, it'd be the same with Chantôme. I do agree with you, though. He is on his way to improve therefore he better stay at PSG. By the way, I'm fed up with Wenger. He is spoiling L1. What is Brice Hortefeu doing ? - Aulas said he'd rather sell him to a French club than to some foreigner club. Somehow, it reminds me of his sayings about Fred during the previous transfer window. According to him, he is like C. Ronaldo 3 years ago. Personally, I don't like Ben Arfa. He is a diva. He has the skills but not the attitude. Even though people tend to forget it, 1 or 2 years ago Aulas wanted him to leave Lyon because Ben Arfa refused to take part of the gambardella cup. There are also rumors about him being hated by most of OL players. - Elmander is overpriced regarding his performances this season with Toulouse. I'd like PSG to spend 15 million Euros elsewhere. - Anyway, it'll be up to the next president. I hope CC will appoint Moulin as president. I like the way he protects PSG from the media and other clubs. If Moulin becomes our president, he'll try to extend Yepes' contract. I don't believe in Diego, Ben Arfa...though. Puygrenier wants to sign with PSG but he hasn't been in contact with...PSG (no one is in charge of transfers yet...). He is a PSG fan for real.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread The l'OM President thought Flamini would turn out to be pretty good and made quite the scene about him leaving. I never expected him to get the type of contract he got from Milan. If Wenger didn't take the French talent they'd just end up in Spain or Italy. I'd rather see them at Arsenal. I've heard the same thing. He'll have to go somewhere like Madrid or Juve where everyone is clearly better than him before he straightens out. I remember hearing how much PLG loves Elmander. If he's back next year I'd assume he'd try to get him, but I can't imagine signing him if we've got another manager. Whatever happened to Yoan Gouffran? Did that totally die? I really thought we'd have a shot at him this summer.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread I read that PSG are interested in Thuram and Makelele. I dont believe it. I believe these players are looking for one last pay day before they retire and their agents are floating PSG's name out there.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread They would both be signings that would help the team a lot, though. Especially as Thuram would likely tutor Sakho, and Maké would tutor Sankharé/Digard/Mulumbu/Clément/Ngoyi/Chantôme (if he stays), which would be very beneficial.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Both would be huge additions, but also huge wages. Not only great players, but it would be fantastic to have them around to teach the younger players. Hopefully CC will decide to put some money into their "investment".
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Well they did have huge wages but I thought they are both out of contract now.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Yepes and Pauleta won't get their contract extended therefore 2 of highest wages are no longer at PSG. I don't know what's Bazin's ambition for PSG though, so I'm not sure Colony Capital will afford to pay Thuram and Makelele's salaries. We always heard big names like Coupet, Giuly, Thuram and Makelele and we end up with Bourillon, Ceara, Everton, Souza...I'm sceptical... In my opinion, the first 2 players signing with PSG will be relevant of what our future signings will be. If that's Calvé and another Bourillon-like, PSG will have a hard time in 2008/2009. Anyway, according to the media our transfer budget will be about 15-20 million Euros which is not enough regarding to how weak is our team. Even Cayzac admitted that CC has to invest much more money when he resigned. Bazin also appointed Villeneuve as president. Wenger adviced him... It's really hard to understand why he chosed Villeneuve who doesn't know football at all. He doesn't even know who Bernard Mendy is. He pretended to know Clément and Camara but he called him Souleymane Camara instead of Zoumana. In fact nothing really changed at PSG. Le Guen, Roche and so on are at PSG still with the same functions. Villeneuve wants a new goalkeeper. I wonder if it should be our priority while our midfield and fowards are not good enough. I'm kinda worried. Diané and Mendy will probably not remain at PSG. We can argue that they aren't that good but they are the only fast players we have. Rothen, Souza, Clément and so on are all slow. If we want a better midfield, we need different kind of players so it'd be good to sign an explosive player as right winger. Anyway, I agree. Thuram and Makelele would be good tutors for our young players.
