Re: PSG Transfer Thread Fred is the type of player they have needed for a while now. Would he be happy with a loan deal to PSG or rather a permanent move out of the country. We shall see.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Has any one from PSG heard of this player. Laurent Mohellebi Left Midfielder 24 YO played youth football for the French NT In the Albanian media it said he was transferred from PSG to KF Tirana.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Well, he was jobless from 2006 to 2007 and PSG signed him with the reserve team for 1 year only. He played 14th times with the reserve team during the first 6 month. He is a left linebacker and he choosed to leave because, I quote : "[he] is in touch with better teams". He won the U-17 world cup in 2001. Honestly, he is 24 years old and he was only playing with the reserve team...I don't think that he is a good player. Le Parisien reported about his signing with KF Tirana today. - Anyway, Hoarau will sign with PSG on monday and he will stay with Le Havre on a loan for the next 6 month. He is rather cheap, it seems like he will cost only 500 000 euros and his contract will run until 2013! He will have to step up a level to succes with PSG but he is interesting. Hoarau - France 2 Foot : http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=WiHeIDcf2nU - According to Le Parisien, Gallardo is close of an agreement with River Plate. - It might be the most interesting rumor (not only a rumor since Le Guen talked about him during his press conference), Angulo was proposed to PSG. Le Guen is actually viewing the video of his last matches with Valencia even though he is one of the 3 players banned by Koeman. It seems like he can play on the right side which is undoubtly a good thing since were are in a need of a right winger since Fiorese left.
Fabice Pancrate to Chicago? It appears PSG is in negotiations with Chicago Fire in the US for a possible transfer of Fabice Pancrate Pancrate to chicago?
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Milos Krasic one of the most talented serbian players is near PSG. PSG first bid, 3mil was rejected, but PSG has increased an offer so it only remains to seal the deal.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Is he that good? We really need a right winger, I hope he'll make an impact in Ligue 1. - Anyway, Gallardo is a free agent now.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Thank you. PSG agreed with Krasic on a 4 years contract but are still under negociation with CSKA. PSG offered 5 million Euros for him.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread According to the latest updates, Krasic won't sign with PSG. However, PSG is still seeking for a forward which could be Alexander Kerzhakov (FC Seville), and a right winger : Souza (Sao Paulo), Odonkor (Betis Seville), Maxi Morales (FC Moscou). That's a disappointing transfer window... I don't even know who Souza is but it seems like Valvo scouted him and Odonkor spends his whole career injured.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread It seems like Souza transfer to PSG is a done deal. It hasn't been confirmed yet. http://globoesporte.globo.com/ESP/Noticia/Futebol/0,,MUL280692-4274,00.html Name : Willamis Souza Position : Midfielder Height : 1,76m Weight : 77kg Birthdate : 04/02/1979 Birthplace : Maceio Sports History (Year and Clubs for which he played) 1998/ 99 - CSA (AL) 2000/ 01 - CR Botafogo (RJ) 2001 - Libertad (Paraguai) 2002 - Guarani FC (SP) 2002 - CSA (AL) 2003 - A.A. Portuguesa Santista (SP) 2003 - São Paulo Futebol Clube (SP) Main Titles 1999 - Campeão Alagoano - CSA 2003 - 3º Colocado no Campeonato Paulista – Portuguesa 2005 - Campeão Paulista 2005 - Campeão da Copa Libertadores da América 2005 - Campeonato Mundial de Clubes da FIFA 2006 - Campeão Brasileiro Prizes 2006 - Prêmio da CBF – melhor lateral do Brasileiro 2006 - Prêmio Mesa Redonda – melhor lateral do Brasileiro Edit : According to brasilian media, Everton Santos agreed with PSG. Another brasilian player. This transfer window is getting entertaining. http://globoesporte.globo.com/ESP/N...EVERTON+SANTOS+VIAJA+PARA+FECHAR+COM+PSG.html
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Hmmm, I thought I knew a lot of Brazilians, but I don't know either guy. Anyone care to enlighten?
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Valvo scouted both of them. He scouted Ceara as well some month ago. From what i've read, Souza is a versatile player. He is a defensive midfielder able to play as a right winger. The transfer fee will be about 3 million Euros which will be shared between his agent and his club (Sao Paulo) because he is a co-owned player. He'll be 29 years old on monday which might means he is most mature than youth brazilian players. He seems to be either skilled and physical. He is good at free kicks. He is playing for Sao Paulo which is one of the best soccer team in Brazil therefore I'm pretty confident about this signing. Everton Santos is a forward but he can play on the left side as well. He is pretty young (21 years old). Corinthians released him since they are relegated to second division. It seems like he'll be a substitute to prevent injuries (Rothen, Luyindula...). Yesterday, he said : "sorry to his teammates, because he couldn't say good bye to them. He was in hurry to take a flight to head to Paris. Paris SG were in touch with him for quite a long while". I hardly believe the last part. That's a huge surprise. No one expected this move. Cayzac and co avoid supporters anger with those moves because PSG fans keep having fetish for brazilian players. As a matter of fact, Colony Capital lied to the fans. They promised us about 10/15 million Euros to make the squad better. Souza + Everton Santos = 3 million Euros and PSG refused to pay 7 million Euros for Krasic...PSG can't expect to sign good players with 3 million Euros and I expect to see the replacement of Pauleta this summer...
Re: PSG Transfer Thread This is the one I'm worried about. Diane is doing well right now, but we need an out-and-out goal scorer. Gouffran would be good, but I don't know what his situation is right now. Fred is probably out due to wage demands. I still think Luyindula is crap.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread I'm feeling that Paul Le Guen has no faith in Diané. In my opinion he has been doing alright lately therefore he deserves more confidence from Le Guen. Le Guen is a huge fan of Elmander...We'll see...I'm also worried about it. Souza and Ederson transfers have been confirmed on PSG official website. J’aime jouer sur le côté droit et vers avant. A Sao Paulo les latéraux aiment jouer vers l’avant et j’ai l’habitude de combiner avec le latéral. Re: PSG Transfer Thread What a relief! Finally some signings! I have to say that I am happy that the club decided to go the Brazilian way. First, because I love Braziiiiiiuuuuuuuu! Second, because it brings back memories of the glory days. That said, I am little bit worried because they probably won't be able to help the team immediately. Souza and Everton have not played since November. And it's their first time in Europe. We all know that many Brazilian players can have problems to adapt, especially in Winter. But let's hope everything goes well. Some vidz of Souza (aka Showza, a promising nickname): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3EzdC5nSUU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoELLnkAta8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNGXQY_kkvs Everton: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x21acj_cruzeiro-vs-corinthians-01-everton_sport
Re: PSG Transfer Thread It seems like PSG scouted an american soccer player (Michael Bradley) from Heerenveen. http://www.planetepsg.com/news-9267-mercato_le_psg_suit_bradley_heerenveen.html
Re: PSG Transfer Thread You're right, I forgot the Paulista championship is being played. I read that Souza was back from Brazil today and trained with the team. Can't wait for Saturday. By the way, anyone who's in the US know if the game will be shown on TV5Monde? TV5's website lists the broadcast at 8am PST, though the game is played at 3pm in France (6am PST) And there's Pauleta too. He might learn a lot from the Eagle
Re: PSG Transfer Thread That could be a good idea. He's a promising player, and already a good asset for the US National Team. FIY, he's also the son of Bob Bradley, the USMNT manager. However, the fact that several English clubs are interested might be problematic if PSG decides to go after him. US players tend to go to England as soon as they got an opportunity, even if it is to a "small" club.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread if his all-consuming wish is to play someday for arsenal or liverpool, sunderland or middlesbrough might be a logical steppingstone, but c'mon, there's a little old thing called paris, the city of lights, that should have some appeal... although after friesland he might find it quite a culture shock! how ya gonna keep 'em down on the farm...
Re: PSG Transfer Thread What's exactly his position ? I read that he is a midfielder does he play on the right side, left side ? In my opinion, PSG better seek for a defensive midfielder to play next to Clement because Chantôme hasn't been good lately. Supposedely, PSG did not used the whole money they were able to spend during the past transfer windows but I'm sure it will be used for Elmander or at least trying to sign him. By the way, Souza said good bye to his teammates on sunday. He also gave a press conference. He said that : "[He] wanted to stick with Sao Paulo FC and was under negociation with Sao Paulo to extend [his] contract but PSG came with an a good proposition. [He] wanted to play in Europe and it was the right time for [him] to take this decision. PSG is a dream club, Rai's one. Then he cried (it reminds me of Rai) and he said that "[He] spent 5 fantastic years with Sao Paulo. [He] won everything with them. All these memories, he'll keep it in mind. He'll miss them all. Souza really loved Sao Paulo FC. It's good to see someone like him. He deserves to succes with PSG. By the way, he has a hot temper. He argued with Vampeta (ex-psg, actually gay). He argued with Dunga because he didn't called him up with the national team. He was upset when Adriano signed with Sao Paulo because he is willing to wear the number 10. However, Sao Paulo fans liked him also because he used provocation toward Sao Paulo's rivals. Anyway, it seems like he would start against Le Mans because he tooks part of the training match with the starting team. --------------------Diané--------- -----------Luyindula-------------- Everton Santos--------------Souza ----------Clement---Ngoyi-------- Armand---Yepes---Camara---Ceara Chantôme played with "les espoirs" but he might start instead of Ngoyi. Rothen was french national team and he'll play instead of Everton. Anyway, PSG academy was ranked in "catégorie 1" : Catégorie 1 : Auxerre, Bordeaux, Le Havre, Lens, Lille, Lyon, Metz, Monaco, Montpellier, Nancy, Nantes, Paris, Rennes, Saint-Etienne, Sochaux. Where is Marseille ?
Re: PSG Transfer Thread I think he's a right wing type of player. If you want to know more about him, you can probably ask on the US Men's National Team board.
Re: PSG Transfer Thread No, he's not a winger. He does not have the speed for that role. He's a central midfield. He usually plays defensive midfield with the USMNT, but has a more offensive role with Heerenven. That kinda fits what NicolasN's asking for to help Clement, doesn't it
Re: PSG Transfer Thread Exactly, thank you both. It would be nice if PSG could sign him. What happens with PSG ? Are we getting good at transfers ? I forgot to post the link of Souza's video while he was crying. http://video.globo.com/Videos/Playe...A+CHORA+EM+SUA+DESPEDIDA+DO+SAO+PAULO,00.html Ceara gave an ITW on the official website of PSG and he said pretty good things about Souza. He knew him before him to sign with PSG. He also said some days ago on globoesporte that the way of playing football in France is "kick and rush". By the way, there is some pictures of Everton and Souza while training : http://www.psg.fr/fr/diaporama/popup.dml?id=497&selPhoto=1
