PSG: Frau, joker of Lens? (12/09/2007)
Since the departure of Bonaventure Kalou, Racing Club of Lens is always in the search of a joker in the offensive field. According to several Internet sites which relay information, the attacker of Paris Saint-Germain Pierre-Alain Frau (27 years) could be that one. Old Sochalien knows the house lensoise well since it already evolved/moved there from January to June 2006. But yesterday in the evening, the president of Blood and Or Gervais Martel endeavoured to contradict the rumour. (By Pierre-Damien Lacourte)

    Re: PSG Transfer Thread

Considering that Pauleta may leave according to rumors in an effort to cut the wage bill, I don't know how they'd be able to afford to lose Frau, who, while not of international class, is good enough to score in the league.

Getting Gouffran could have been a huge boost.

I think we have more problems than that. :D

I read the other day that Pancrate was going to have a trial at Portsmouth.

According to l'équipe, Paris might be interested in Fred who doesn't play enough with Lyon and also in Tiago even though the portuguese midfield seems most interested in a move to a good club from his native country. Monaco is also after him.

I think Tiago is a good option but it might be expensive.

Either Fred or Tiago would help enhance our team. However, I see both being relatively expensive.

I'd still like Gouffran to move here durnig January, but I have a hard time seeing it.

in a sense yes... transfer the whole club lock, stock and barrel to a new owner: the qatari royal family, a cartel of colombian narcotraficantes, a transdniestrian oligarkh, the dalai lama, ANYBODY.

Cayzac talked about how the other teams made mistakes in their recruitment when he was asked about Le Guen's poor signings he and mention Ziani to OM and how he doesnt play much and Bodmer and Keita to OL and how they dont play much either. He mentioned Givet and Rodriguez how they have been disapointing so far and he mentioned Rennes 3 recruits, Leroy, Wiltord and Pagis and questioned wether they were good signings so far.

It would be cool if they could get all 3. I think that would satisfy the fans.

    Re: PSG Transfer Thread

Cool? We want Tiago too, haven't you heard?

Ziani hasn't been that bad, he's had some nice displays I think (he did against us anyway). Bodmer has done decently I think when he's been called upon. Givet has been disappointing, it's a bit difficult really to say anything other than that. If Mandanda hadn't come to the fore, that defense would have conceded a huge amount of goals. As for the Rennes guys, other than this losing streak, Wiltord and Leroy were doing quite well, and Lacombe may be able to get them back in form.

They are still all better than Le Guen's signings.

Other than his horrible error the other day, I don't think Camara's been that bad. Although I agree about everyone else.

Then again, look who we have recruited. Berthod's a been a huge waste. Although Nenê and Adriano have had their moments, while establishing themselves in the first team.

According to a journalist from France Football, Tiago won't come to Paris because he is too expensive and Celtic Glasgow will sign Bernard Mendy.

    Re: PSG Transfer Thread

In my opinion, PSG has to keep those players from its line-up :

    ---------------blank-------------
    -----------blank------------------
    Rothen--------------------blank---
    --------Clément---blank-----------
    Armand---Yepes---Camara---Ceara
    -------------Landreau-------------

It's been several years that we don't have any good right winger. In fact since Fiorese left Paris we used forwards on this position like Kalou or Frau or even Dohrasoo who used to play as a defensive midfielder and It was a failure.

We also need a more technical midfielder next to Clément. Tiago would be a good option but it seems unrealistic.

Plus, I think it was a mistake to release Rodriguez.

If PSG pay 15 million Euros for Fred, Paris is Aulas' savior :p
Right now, Fred worth between 8 and 10 million Euros.

    Re: PSG Transfer Thread

    - I hope he will succes there. PSG's supporters are kinda harsh with him. I don't get why Paris have fetish for forwards to play on the right wing. Good Luck PAF.

    - Anyway, according to "Le Parisien", Washington DC United and Dortmund may be interested in Gallardo. The former River Plate player is really disappointing. I assume that his best performance was against Sochaux during the past season (0:0). He was "ronaldinesque" during that game.

    - It seems like Gouffran is not so sure to sign with PSG. In my opinion, it doesn't matter if he chooses to stick with Caen as long as I think that we need experienced and talented players. Gouffran is too young and PSG's team is young enough (especially forwards and midfielders).

    - There is another rumor about PSG to be interested in Ziani. I would like to say to Diouf : "Thanks, but no thanks" and I hope Cayzac will do the same . Kalou failed with PSG mostly because of his lack of regularity and that's the main weakness of Ziani. I don't want another Kalou (even though they don't play on the same position).

I would be shocked if Ziani left Marseille. He was supposed to be the guy to replace Ribery and if they give up on him this soon Diouf and Anigo should be fired immidiately.
