With the first game on Saturday, I'm wondering if the game will be showed here in the United States. I know Fox Soccer Channel will broadcast some Ligue 1 games, but I recently bought a package with TV5 Monde. They've shown rugby and the League Cup. I'm curious to what the American fans do to follow the club.
The PSG match for this week won't be shown on any network in America: http://www.soccertv.com/france.cfm
Good news....Setanta Sports is showing 2 Ligue 1 matches this Sunday, but alas neither are PSG. 1 is Lyon and the other is Marseille, but at least they are showing Ligue 1.
Yeah great news but we've known it for a while now Catfish. Look on the "Setanta Ligue 1 coverage this week" thread.
well I browse around forums, as well as live-foot.com's forum, to find some kind of schedule or stream. And if somebody finds one, we post it on the boards for everybody else's enjoyment
I can't believe that Setanta Sports here in the USA has not televised 1 PSG match. They televise 2 Ligue1 a week....I have seen OL twice and OM twice, but still no PSG. I know PSG isn't a powerhouse club or very popular, but come on, throw us a frickin bone.
alot of it has to do with tv rights and canal+ if i'm not mistaken. If you look at the TV schedules, most of the club's L1 matches are either on canal+ or one of their exclusive packages (i.e. foot+). Thusly, I think it's just a question of them being dicks either not seeing the profit of repackaging the games for a foreign audience or simply not wanting to share.
Funny that in the past 3 years I think I've seen more Lens games than Marsailles, Lyon, and PSG combined.
