All we need is a draw in Madrid to advance thank god. You will need to sack Blanc to do anything at all in Europe in my opinion.

It's not just your opinion. Blanc is useless in the CL for a team with these kinds of ambitions. :(

Yeah, Blanc lucks out on CL next season too and I'm afraid he'll get the sack.

He doesn't deserve one more season.

Agreed, however I don't think your board will sack him this season.

Sadly, I think you're right. Which is a stupid mistake on their part. He's shown his limitations during the past few seasons, so it's not like this season's exit was an anomaly.

Who would you want given his departure?

Well, I wanted Pep. ;) Right now there aren't too many world class managers available, so I would be happy with anyone who has experienced a good amount of success in Europe.

Pep will be taken for at least the next 3 years ;) Sarri, at Napoli is probably the most underrated managers in all of Europe and would do great for a team like PSG with all that talent.

Ideally I'd like someone who has managed to go far in the CL. Because that's where we need help, not in the league or the cups in France.

So, who exactly? You've got slim pickings with virtually every top flight manager taken except Mourinho.

Man City blown tf out by Southampton.

You know just watching anything beyond that faithful night in The Ettihad hurts.. it's like having a severe case of heartburn.

Unai Emery looking like that likely replacement for Blanc at the moment. Great manager who has success in Europe and can do amazing things with such a good squad to work with in Paris.

Need a new thread (2016/17) for this and domestic league and cups one as well, UCL draw was today, Group 'A' with Arsenal and two minnows:
    Group A
    1 Arsenal 0 0 0 0 0 0 +0 0
    2 Basel 0 0 0 0 0 0 +0 0
    3 Ludogorets 0 0 0 0 0 0 +0 0
    4 PSG

Emery needs to plan to win this group to set a slightly easier path beyond it.

EASIEST CL group I've seen since under the Nasser regime.

If they can't win this group.. then it's pretty much hopeless.

Arsenal is not nothing but right now they are playing a 4th choice center back, have an inconsistent strike force, and Arsene Wegner seems reluctant to sign expensive players -- despite the fact that all the really good ones are really expensive.

    No Barce, No Care

We always seem to get paired with a MUCH more elite team.. Arsenal is not one of those.. I'm happy.. I think PSG will finally win the CL group.

Arsene himself even agrees with you (sort of) but says they would still like to win it. He also was in the news for (finally) spending some pounds and getting some talented players (pending medical exams).

But I do think you're looking past the Bulgarian Champions Ludogarets, they had to get past the Czech team Viktoria Plzen to get here! ;>) (Can anyone name one player on either team?) I realize the soccer gods will now make us draw with them one of the matches rather than win home and away ...

If Blanc was still coach, I'd give you every reason to worry, but since it's Unai.. I think we should be good for 1st place. :D
