One day can I learn how to be as tough and cool as you? For real -- how do you get to be bad-ass enough to laugh at someone who died for a cause he believed in?
You guys laugh about the guy who committed suicide at Ground Zero, you laugh about this. What else do you laugh about? If this is compassionate conservatism you can keep it.
1953 4-2-4 is just another troll hoping to piss people off. Putting him aside, I am seeing a disturbing trend where posters make fun of people who die in unusual ways. I can't see the humor in it at all. Every death creates abject misery for many others. Imagine how his parents feel.
His parents probably feel like they failed at parenting? And that they raised a moron? Just guessing. Disturbing trend, of making fun of "people who die in unusual ways?" LOL.
Not to be funny or agree with 4-2-4's line of thought but this guy who died was clearly an idiot and he didn't believe getting run over by a train would kill him or he was suicidal. Killing oneself in protest is not the answer, South Park teaches us this in the David Blain episode.
4-2-4 is not telling us anything about this man with "Ha Ha." 4-2-4 is talking about her or himself. In displaying that kind of response, s/he is talking not about the dead person, but telling us all about who s/he is, what kinds of values s/he has. I reject those values wholeheartedly.
I'm guessing the protester was expecting the train to stop and not run over him. Is chaining yourself to train tracks a good idea? No, but that doesn't mean this isn't tragic.
maybe it isn't a good idea, but it is very common for Europoean anti-nuclear protestors, they do it all the time. First time somebody got runover though... tragic!
Of course. I don't know how fast the train was, so i can't really say if this was the fault. But last year the train was secured by 12.500 cops in Germany alone. They could at least try to check the tracks before the train is to close to stop. Considering how much money this transports cost the tax-payer every year anyway i don't think this would make a huge difference.
That happened here in California several years ago, except that the guy just had his legs severed. Health care must be better here. These protesters would be well advised to try to understand how much weight is in motion when a train gets going and how long it takes to stop. I know it's a chore to try to understand something when you're saving the world, but...... BTW, like alot of his sniveling little left-wing friends, the guy sued the government. He waits for a train creeping along slowly to sever his legs and then sues. So things aren't all bad for him, he's still got all the gall in the world.
This post pretty much sums up the concept of compassionate conservatism. You're a uniter not a divider, aren't you?
He was killed because he and a few other people didn’t tell anyone where they’re going to be. They just chained them selves on their own , without informing the police or the organized protestors. Very sad. I think the whole protest movement is misplaced. I’ve never heard them say what they would do with the waste.
save me the bleeding heart excuses. The guy was incredibly stupid .some people laugh at stupid people... some people cry becuase of them. I for one will just at them and their defenders.
This is why they teach railroad safety in schools. Protestors should know not to take on something bigger than their weight. Just ask Rachel Corrie.
