Especially Paul and Kim for organizing the great bus trip to Richmond today.

Anyone got pictures of the car-tipping yet? :D

La Norte certainly did a great job in the stadium as they always do, but the SEs deserve props for organizing the bus trip that got my ass down to Richmond.

Luis and Josh, I even got some time on the drum. I dont know Luis's BS name, Josh's is Darth Norteno i think. I was the kid in the dc scarf and red shirt who dropped those kids Pizza

yep it was a fun trip, didn't expect to be lifting cars but whatever it takes to get home :) Look forward to more trips with the eagles! (I was the guy in the Mastroeni jersey and US flag)

The 90 world Cup video of US vs Italy was quite a throw back as well!

Luis's SN is Luis Chavez; pretty easy to remember. It was a little hard to keep the beat and watch the game; just ask Scelzo, heheh. :D

Excellent job with the chants (particularly the one when Utting took goal-kicks :D ). Despite the sparse crowd you could really hear La Norte/SE fans.

Just wondering, for those of you that watched on TV could you see SE/BB/Sam's Army? I noticed on the limited highlights I saw that we couldn't be seen. For those that haven't been to a USMNT game with one of the supporter groups you should join in. Truly a grandtime and kudos to the Kiwi goalie he took the jeering well and even seemed to enjoy it bit.

They had a couple of shots behind the goal towards the end of the telecast. I've got the pictures of the car, but haven't downloaded them from the camera.

I was the one who came over for the second half wearing the white Donovan U.S. shirt. A friend of mine came with me, he was wearing a Borrusia Dortmund hat.

Considering the abuse he got from Sam's Army, the Kiwi goalie was MORE than a good sport -- he was a saint!

Yeah I think he knew it was all in good fun..to bad you can't say the same from some big soccer posters in other threads..who weren't even at the game :/

That New Zealand keeper had an arm too, he threw his water bottle perfectly at the only new zealand fan there at least 15 rows up.

Glad people had fun (and didn't get a hernia moving the car!)

Our next trip will be Chicago (either July or Aug) so stay tuned.

ESPN2 showed a group throwing confetti streamers like an eruption of white lava. Said it was Sams Army.

I told those watching with me, "No way. That's La Norte."

Yes. F*New Zealand was a real classy chant. And the chant from The Man Show, real original. I think the Galaxy supporters use it for supporting Sigi Schmid, not to make some half-hearted attempt at the "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie" taunt the group was trying. There is an art to chanting, which includes organization and the ability to spontaneously think of something. If that's the best Sam's Army can do, well they ought to try something else, like the thunderstix.

Also, what was with the "Goal, Goal Goal" song on the speakers? Is that the "Phillips" official USA chant? It sounded like something my brother used to make on his Casio keyboard back in the 80's.

    Thx,

    Jay!

Were you there, Jay? How many chants did you "spontaneously" start?

That was Hahnemann. The water bottle was Utting, but the gloves and cup were Marcus.

You'd get your props if you'd taken a picture of the concessions stand chick...

    It WAS!

Which one, "Sheepshaggers, sheepshaggers, oi! oi! oi!" or "Superpower, superpower, U! S! A!"?? I liked them both.

    You're a moron.

Most of us who were there aren't members of Sam's Army.

OK, you somewhat redeemed yourself here.

    Not.

I'm sorry, but "F--- New Zealand" is just stupid. Maybe it's funny if you're in the 8th grade, otherwise it's the same as yelling "I have no creativity, but I crave attention!"

"Sheep Shagger, Sheep Shagger, Oi, Oi, Oi" and "Bet-ter stick to Cricket (or Rugby)" are much better.
