Just wanted to say that I've been going to United games since '96 (off and on) and last year finally joined up with the Screaming Eagles since I met a fellow alumni of mine who's high up in their organization. I always try to 'sit' between the two fan clubs because I love the passion & raucousness that Barra Brava brings that frankly the SE's don’t quite match- and that I think is terrific. Bringing out my alumni club (Boston University) a couple of times a year with their families & such it makes sense to go with the group that aren’t smoking J’s & such but I wanted to let ya’ll know how the hell much I respect you guys for the passion you exhibit at the games. I was at every home game last year and one of the best moments was the big Etcheverry banner you guys put up for the 1997 team tribute match. Totally awesome. Honestly, I can’t say enough about how much I respect that level of commitment to our team. It is unmatched come game day. I could go on, but suffice it to say, a major league shout out to you! Every one of you!!
Oh. So it was my imagination one tail-gate that reminded me of walking through Aspen one summer afternoon in 1972. It doesn't take much to trigger old memories...
He's the "about town" guy from the Washington Post. I actually know Fritz - from back in high school. Suffice it to say that he probably hates the beer showers because they caused him to catch pneumonia - or the showers ruined his brand new Fred Perry shirt.
I would, but there's a greater chance of seeing me in the middle of the Barra this season than Fritz. :-D
Naughty, naughty, Pedro! If you were in the nest, I trust you had an SE ticket? If you had an SE ticket, the Barra guidos want to talk with you about your insurance policies. GM
I threw someone else's beer in the Barra once last year. It's the closest I've come to getting my ass kicked in a long long time. Needless to say, I was drunk at the time.
