This isn't a bad joke is it? All I see is a mention of Las Colinas for the Cowboys. Even when I search Dallas Burn there is no mention.

It was more prominent earlier in the evening, just to the right of the main headline story.

A link to the article is still on the DMN homepage, though. It's at the bottom of the page in the "Latest News" section and is titled, "Frisco Joins Cities in Pursuit of Major League Soccer Stadium".

The Dallas Morning News playing catch up to the Frisco Enterprise, with no new news besides.

    PathETIC.

Glad it's there, even though it's late and short on new information. This is rich...

"Frisco City Manager George Purefoy said the city would know within three to four weeks "whether the project will make or not."

Hey Ian, how about you figure out something? Like

What will the City know exactly in 3 to 4 weeks that they don't know now?

Does the City or ISD have to vote on something?

Are you waiting for an offer from MLS?

If the project did make in a month, how long until they could break ground?

If the project does not "make" in a month, will MLS focus on a new city?

What does Laura Miller, Mayor of Dallas, have to say about losing the main tenant at the Cotton Bowl?

But I guess that would take work to write, eh?

If news readership in Frisco is anything like that in Plano, McKinney, etc, I would guess that most folks who subscribe to a newspaper only read the Dallas Morning News.

So even though the SSS story was written up previously in the Frisco and Fort Worth papers, this is probably the first that most Frisco residents are aware of the ongoing stadium talks.

Best of luck! Hopefully this will not be one of those "30 to 60 days" deals that the Metros fans have had to endure.
