1st goal Sloppy play by Cardiff in the back gave Sunderland possession. One of their players pushed into the box and went down from a somewhat soft tackle by one of the Cardiff center back's for a PK. Sunderland smashed the PK in to the top of the net away from Horvath. 2nd goal - An open man surges into space to the left of Horvath at the corner of the 6 yard box. Places a low searching cross to a runner who finds space and an open goal. The site I checked showed Sunderland completely dominating Cardiff with 6 saves for Horvath. The video shows 1 save, a very good one at the end of the match to keep it 2-0.
Cardiff beat Coventry on 2 OGs 2-1. No idea on the goal Horvath gave up but Coventry with an OG here as they could have gained some ground on Norwhich. Seems nobody wants that promotion play off slot. Wright also went 90. YC at 64 is all the action reported for him.
I did a PBP thread if anyone wants some more detail. Summary - Horvath didn't real have a chance on the conceded goal, but made all the easy plays - decent performance. Wright had a headed goal called back for offside and created a couple of chances, but not a starring performance. Norwich lose on the day and somehow don't lose ground in the battle for sixth.
Yikes. 3-1 Hull over Cardiff today, and they fall 11 points back of Norwich in sixth. Horvath with a few saves, but lowest rated player on the pitch, conceding 3 on 2.02 xGOT.
The fan forum didn't have much to say about him but what little there was was pretty positive: "some very good saves". Can't say they feel the same way about the way the team have been playing. "Same shit, different day" seemed to be a popular entry, but they don't seem to be picking on Ethan
It seems like he has had incredible support from his family, but also a lot of weight on his shoulders; a need to succeed in order to justify their sacrifice, Goalkeepers often mature later, and have their prime in their thirties. Let's hope that Ethan can follow this path, although he's already had a good career. Maybe he has something special left.
It looks like this move has been fairly successful for Ethan: he was brought in as a starter, has played quite well and seems exempt from the ire the fans are directing at a distinctly mediocre team and its owners. Absent a change of ownership, it's unlikely that he's going to do the promotional hat trick with Cardiff but he has a platform to develop his skills and showcase them ahead of his next contract in 2-2.5 years time.

Wow, thanks for posting this. Everyone should watch til the end and if you do watch til the end, your eyes will tear up. What a sacrifice by his parents.
Cardiff and Horvath hold in to win 1-0. Birmingham had 12 shots but only one on goal, apparently. 5 corners.
Concedes three on 2.03 xGOT, slightly better than the 3 he conceded on 2.02 xGOT against Hull. Progress! Lowest rated on the team on FotMob. The loss combined with the Norwich results ends their slim playoff hopes.
Cardiff hold on to a 2-1 win after 16(!) minutes of stoppage time. I didn't watch, but looks like Southampton dominated possession and shots, just not goals. Ethan with 7 saves.
Not looking like a good day at the office for Ethan. Down 4-0 with about 10 to go. Have not seen any of it tbf.
From a national Welsh web newspaper. He doesn't seem to have been at fault for the 2nd and 3rd goals anyway and wasn't mentioned for the 4th. Instead, almost immediately, Middlesbrough doubled their lead. Again, dithering in the Cardiff defence allowed a bobbling ball to fall at the feet of Azaz, who flicked an effort over the body of Horvath into the bottom corner of the net. In the 55th minute, the result was put beyond doubt. A weak challenge by Bowler allowed Latte Lath to latch onto a punt over the Cardiff defence and finish powerfully one-on-one with Horvath. https://nation.cymru/sport/cardiff-city-suffer-a-hammering-at-hands-of-clinical-middlesbrough/ The fan forum was much more positive about Ethan. The defence OTOH Horvath made some excellent saves first half though it must be said. [Talking about Turnbull] haha..star man with a six...ye gods.....no-one was star...Horvath probably...followed by Ralls. How the **** was he [Turnbull] star man hahaha absurd. Agree with your choices [i.e. Horvath & Ralls] https://www.ccmb.co.uk/showthread.php?461068-CARDIFF-CITY-v-MIDDLESBROUGH-Match-thread/page5
Lovely finish to the season as Horvath concedes 5 to last place Rotherham on 7 SOG, 3.32 xGOT. I will not attempt to put lipstick on this pig. Enjoy some time off, Ethan.
