Having just been wound up about one of my least favourite topics - the robber barons at FIFA, my mind wondered about the price of the programme.

How much do you reckon it will be?

    I'm thinking 125 ZAR

    I hope you are right.

They were €10 in Germany. That would pitch them in at an equivalent around 100 ZAR . FIFA are bound to put them up, aren't they?

There can't be anyway that FIFA will charge only the equivalent of 3 euros!

    FIFA are such lying b******s!!
I just thought I'd compare ticket prices 2006/2010 to assess what the difference is, and then apply the same logic to the programme price.
I came across this on the FIFA website:

In Germany, the cheapest tickets were priced at EUR 35 (approximately USD 51). In South Africa, the lowest price will be just USD 20. FIFA and the LOC felt there was a need to offer a significantly cheaper ticket to meet the demands of grassroots football fans who might not otherwise be able to afford to attend a FIFA World Cup™ match and thus be part of this oncein-a-lifetime experience.

mmmmm I thought. I'm sure thats not right.
So I got my tickets out and had a look.
The cheapest tickets I bought were €21!!! Grrrrr!!

In Spain it was 350ptas, France 50F and Korea a bloody ridiculous equivalent £20. Can see a price on the Mexican one and could not get one in USA Germany was way and away the best WC programme so far.

Probably about R150 I reckon. I can always check the rubbish dumps after the world cup and get you some for free - postage will be R300 though!!
