It's unknown whether other players had higher ratings then some since I did not find it listed in the magazine. But 1st place (Maradona) for sure was the highest rated throughout the season and was regarded as the 'revelation of the tournament.'
Great job Vegan Even for a 1st half season (Metropolitano), that rating of Maradona could be the highest.
Thanks mate. I think you might be right. The National was a shorter tournament and I don't think anyone reached that rating (Maradona only played 5 games I think so that would exclude him from that list).
Had El Grafico Maradona listed as left-sided midfielder? It looks like so. I thought he played more as a central midfielder. Over PM we also talked about the assists he had. He had apart from 5 goals also 5 assists in 24 games. In 1995 Apertura it was 3 goals and 3 assists in 11 games. That is more what one would think about a well-rated central midfielder instead of a left-sided one, or winger.
Yes, he was used more in 1978 on the left wing in midfield and up front. In the mid-1990s he was used as a central midfielder (although for some reason El Grafico had him more on the wing). In 1979 and 1980 he was used as a center-forward (this was the main reason he scored more).
I come here because of the Kempes case (will post some more in the thread where it belongs) but do you happen to have the full 1974 ratings msioux? Rather than only the months? I see that of some other years you posted both the month-by-month ratings and the full ones so therefore I ask.
Nothing new at the moment. But it seems to me that Kempes: * For the 1st semester 1976 (arg. league) played as world class level. * For 1975 year, played as international/continental level. * For 1974 year, played as continental or regional level.
Now El Grafico website has an option to download its historical magazines but it requires membership as I understand In example http://www.elgrafico.com.ar/edicion_impresa.php?id_edicion=7431. Anyone could comply the rest of years that has not been available here and make a further post here is largely appreciated.
