"The CSA spent $1.58 million this year on the men's World Cup team. Next year - with no World Cup qualifying games to generate revenue - it will only be $850,000 according to projected budget figures. That's just slightly above the $757,000 the association spent this year on the women's under-19 team."

The article also states that we will be playing 10-12 games next year. Personally, that number really surprises me.

Maybe Pipe spent $28,000 (US) of the budget on this to help the National Teams:

Some decent officiating would of helped. We had six points stolen.

But then again having a manager who had a clue of what he was doing might
have help the cause too. Concacaf officials will never change so get used
to it. We had one good goal called back which would have won us a game,
but the penalty decision by the mexican referee was correct, the Canadian
player took down the opponent. Good teams make no excuses. :D
