It should be noted these previews are the opinions of Paul, aka Charge!, and represent his, and only his attitudes to a variety of matters.

All others should feel free to voice themselves too.

No views are correct or incorrect, simply obeservations from a given perspective.

I did like the USA flag with the blue symbol near the corner flag during the USA-Red Wine match

as are all other posts that don't have links to other sources of information. we all express our opinions here - sometimes extremely repetetively.

I can say I'm guilty as charged.

hopefully, once the matches begin, we'll have real football to discuss...

unfortunately, most of us will have to await May before we get to see the charge play a competitive match

then all our banal analyses can end and some meaningful discussions might actually occur??

    Enough's enough....

I never suggested otherwise; jeezus  to infinity. I merely wanted to stoke discussion and to maybe pass the time a bit quicker until next Saturday. If you don't like the preview which will unfold this week, then no one is forcing you to reply to it.

If these "Destination San Diego . . ." were meant to stoke discussion, they're a dismal failure. I'm not surprised to see no one participating.

Why not just lump these "Previews according to Paul" into one thread? Or do we need another moderator to do that? Where's that other moderator to keep this moderator from running amok?

The Charge board is a spammer's delight, with Charge! as head-spammer. What's up with two "Charge & TV" threads? What's up with four "Previews according to Paul" threads? What's up with all these zero-response threads? This board is going downhill.

    But that's just my opinion.

True, we don't need a 2nd mod. But what do you do when the only mod goes spamming with all his zero-response threads and PTH-like polls?

    TIMEOUT...

Two things are certain. This has not been the best of days for me, and it's been far, farther and farthest from yours, Cachundo.

If you, Adam or anyone had a problem with what I've posted since Sunday, you should have had the basic courtesy and respect to let me know in a PM. But neither of those qualities were on display in your message. You are invited to check my average post count per day; compare it with, say, FearM9, and then drop by here again and tell me I'm a spammer.

Despite the fact you checked your tact at the door today, much of what you wrote can, has already and will be fixed in the immediate future. There will be no more Destination SD threads, only a season prediction topic which I will post tomorrow morning. Polls asking people who will score the first Charge goal are fluff and harmless, I'll concede that. OTOH, how many points one thinks it will take to get into the semifinals is ENTIRELY relevant to this forum, and your attitude towards that ("PTH-like") smacks of elitism.

The rivalry forum is off-limits for me once Saturday arrives. I will not post one syllable there and you can quote me on that. The glass will be half-full. If anyone wants to alert folks about special stuff they saw on the Charge website, they're on their own. I will no longer post that stuff. I AM open to suggestions about how to improve the board and my running of it.

Do you not remember the old saying you can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar? I am receptive to change. However, several people whose opinions I trust and friendship I value took a serious hit today. I put a lot of effort into the preview, and to have it trashed like it was today, specifically and earlier, to put it bluntly, hurt. It has made me wonder in the past few hours whether or not I'm welcome around here anymore.

Nevertheless, I believe this marriage can be saved. We've got a new season to look forward to in 96 hours, It should be a time of promise, of anticipation; not a time for us to be at each other's throats. Let's just chalk this up to being one of those days and start fresh.

    Truce?

The whole object on this board is to engage in fun discussion of Charge football.

    Not pissing contests.

The point should be CLEAR, I don't care if the CHARGE win or lose.

It's being entertained by good soccer which counts.

I don't care if the Charge win a championship.

How will that affect any persons life in any meaningful fashion??

    Enjoy the season...

it is NOT life and it, certainly is NOT death...

Sorry to rain on your parade sport. Whether I liked the previews or not is an issue. To me, they looked like op/ed pieces. They're neither right nor wrong, they're just opinions.

I suggested that you put your previews on one thread, since it seemed like no one was interested in a discussion regarding your opinions on four seemingly similar threads. For that, I am tactless. But you'll thank me later for saving you from further embarrassment.
