Can someone help me? Can someone just put together the links of each press report, and/or Garber (or anyone else of significance) mention of expansion to NYC. I swear to god I'd normally do it myself, but I'm a bit swamped at the moment. I will explain why I need it in an email sent in a few minutes. Thanks.
was going to start a new thread but lets use this as a press clippings thread here is a story from the washington post http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...602028_pf.html Garber on Talk to america - "This team will play in Queens" http://www.voanews.com/english/16-Ja...ber-Brewer.cfm Garber at the draft http://www.bigapplesoccer.com/articl...ticle_id=12757 "Finance a soccer stadium on the ground in and around citifield" aka Shea This is the original NY times story in June http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/17/sports/soccer/17mls.html
This is something from SI. It is blocked at my job so tell me if the link still works: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200....qa/index.html

nada ... but try this link [10.27.2007]: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/jonah_freedman/10/26/garber.qa/2.html it's the 3rd page (or three) in the article, last question. "Expansion continues to go strong. When you look at San Diego, Portland, Vancouver, Montreal, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Miami and a second team in New York, just to name a few, there are more serious prospects for expansion than we have available teams."
We should have a hard copy printout "scrap book" and electronically stored of each mention. From here on out, it's a good idea to have the actual hard copy of the newspaper or magazine, if possible. For when people ask "is this realistic?" we can show them. IF anyone out there knows someone who knows how to develop web sites, we should ask for their help. We should put the press reports on the site.
