The Fire have touched down in Florida! Juan Luis, Alex and Jhon are already enjoying the 70 degree heat wave.
Yep, it is. Unlikely that the club will release a trialist list in this camp. One player of note that is here is former #cf97 right back Tim Ward. #MLS— Jeff Crandall (@jefecrandall) January 26, 2014 Player Development alums in #cf97 camp: Rolfe, Berry, Pineda, Gulley, Shipp, Ritter, King, Ciesiulka, Braun and David Meves (trialing GK).— Jeff Crandall (@jefecrandall) January 27, 2014 edit: Braun is Freddie Braun a former PDL player who won the open tryouts
Two things I can take from this first day of cross country success. First, I am going to refer to Pause as "Big Grey" just so that I don't get our d-mids confused. Second, is that Hurtado running behind Gonzo in the second to last picture? It looks like he was given Sherjill's dorm room at Ave Maria and someone forgot to clean out the fridge before he got there.
The one running behind Sega? As a man with a gut, I recognize a proud man who has built a shed over his tools.
My God, no one can even have a chuckle around here anymore. I was referring to this one: And it is all relative. I assumed people knew that I wasn't suggesting a Chris Farley like character. Sherjill was never obese by society standards but was a little heavy by professional soccer standards. Jhon looks a little thick to me and like he might have a few pounds to work off in preseason. Not the end of the world. Even in the picture you post, he could stand to move a little of that thickness from near his waist up to his upper body. If you are just dying for me to say something positive to balance out my little joke, I am pleased with how Anangano looks (at least in these pictures). He also has a body type that could lead to a little weight if he isn't training and it appears that he has been training during the off season.
It's preseason. It's perfect time to criticize the club's moves since there's no set squad (or games for that matter) to support and still time to fix the moves, or lack thereof. First kick is a long way off.
