Just curious if anyone is coming down this way. I'll be at a few games, but it depends on my work schedule. A brief update - my mother is recovering from her stroke and is making progress every day. We all have to work with her throughout the day, but she demands the most out of my father. We "spell" him when possible. Regardless, we are needed around the house for whatever needs done. I've said elsewhere that I feel bad about not being able to contribute around here much (at all lately), and I still feel this way. I'll do my best to be around more as the season approaches and commences. I know that there is no way I'll be making any trips this year - as long as mom is in her currrent condition. I'll have to get my DCU fix during preseason. Hopefully next year I can be up there more often.
Our best to you, mutinywxgirl, as you care for your mother. I know that is very demanding. I do hope you can get out to some matches. My boys and I hope to get down there, but it is going to depend on airfares, etc.
Chico and I will be flying down to sunny Fl.!! We'll be there Thursday the 16th and Friday the 17th. Can't wait to go!!!!
Hope you can have fun enough for me, Diablo. I planned on going, as my parents live right there (and I did for 3 years as well). However, things have come up, and I'm entertaining family in town that very same weekend. Oh well. I'll have to wait for Charleston.
Gotta tell you, I am stoked for the trip!! Big props to my bro Chico as this trip is my birthday gift from him!!! I'm counting down the days!!!!!
Can anyone tell me what the process is for seeing these practices/games? I live in St Pete and haven't been to a live game since the 04 season and need to get my fix in. Are there tickets that need to be purchased? The only official news I've seen down here is that the scum are playing KC at USF on the 18th... that hardly satisfies! Thanks
I've read that DC is playing a U-17s and/or the Crew on Feb 11 (this Saturday). The times I've heard are 10 or 10:30am Can any one help me figure out what is exactly going on Saturday? Thanks

I got a great picture of Christian Gomez walking behind the goal in the 2nd half today. He had his foot iced up. He sat near me, but I didn't bother him. I was surprised how many photographers were there......and how many people were there. It was nice. Saw several DCU scarfs!
