sorry, was working on sheep answers during the last couple mins of game, should have posted it was 3-0 final. re jerseys - I'm sure there will be pics posted soon enough, but they were wearing jerseys with blue at the bottom of both sleeves, not a full blue single sleeve. I guess these are practice jerseys, no names on back. no flag on sleeve. So I would not say that these are the new game jerseys...
According to MyDynamo.com's blog of the game they wore the new training shirts. Some pictures will surely show up.
Great game, Go Dynamo! I had a great time, spent most of it heckling Dax "Ginger" McCarthy and Salas.
They wore "new" kits, but not THE new kits... They were their orange training tops and will be worn pregame. Apparently, these jerseys were not supposed to be used by the Dynamo as pregame jerseys, but the Dynamo liked them when they got them in and made them the pregame jersey. They will NOT be for sale to the public, which I'm sure is pissing off Adidas right about now. The jerseys will be on TV, but since they're not commerically made, they can't make a penny off of them.
That's pissing me off right about now. The jerseys they wore today look much better than the new ones.
Juilius James first goal in Orange: [ame="http://s50.photobucket.com/albums/f304/voodoogeisha/?action=view¤t=2009_0206preseason0035.flv"][/ame] and Talley Hall's first touch:
By the way, since nobody has mentioned anything... James was OK. I don't think E-Rob or Boz will be worrying about their starting jobs anytime soon, but he did a decent job on the day. He took his goal perfectly, but it was a pretty easy chance because the ball pinged around between a few guys in the box before floating right to him. He certainly looked fast, but wasn't particularly tidy on the ball, so I'm not sure playing on the outside would really be much of an option. Hainault was really strong for the most part, but he did have one flubbed clearance that led directly to a chance for Frisco. I thought his positioning looked good, and he's big and strong. I thought he looked to be a much more polished player than James, but that flub was a pretty big flub. It's impossible to say how Tally Hall is, as he wasn't really ever tested on the day. I guess after the Caig experience, it's nice to not notice your keepers for 90 minutes. As far as returning guys, Mully and Davis looked really good at times, Mulrooney was good as always, Boz was pretty nasty at the back. Chabala did OK... He was pretty good defensively, but his service was pretty poor. Wade looked much livelier than he did toward the end of last season. I think he must have been out of gas in November after playing so many minutes throughout the year.
Yes, that's him. I don't think it was a trial, just helping out because so many guys are missing. He looked pretty good, considering he's been retired for 3 or 4 years.

Thanks Nigel for the pics. That uniform is really nice. I wish Adidas changed their mind and was going to use that one. Symmetry

I saw one guy and it went like this "hey, how are you? I am Julius James." I have never heard Julius James talk so I guess it was a good impression.
