This weekend the bulk of the U.K. newspapers kicked off their 2002-2003 EPL coverage with in-depth preseason analyses of each club. The Sunday Times picked their "strongest 11" starting teams for each EPL squad. Not surprisingly, they named Friedel as the likely starter in goal for Rovers and Reyna as one of the two best central midfielders for the Black Cats. A little more surprisingly, they picked Keller over Sullivan to start between the posts for Spurs. JMM and Lewis were mentioned as being on the rosters for Everton and Fulham, although I'm not sure that Lewis was actually assigned a jersey number by Tigana. Did anyone else catch any other preseason punditry related to Yanks in the Premiership? I didn't get a chance to grab anything else off of the newsstand.
I did, but I can't pimp a certain website here at Big Soccer. No real EPL previews as of yet from the big websites (F365, Guardian, etc).
FWIW, Eddie has number 31, hopefully not for too much longer. http://www.fulhamfc.co.uk/pprofiles/displayProfile.asp?pid=26&id=313235
