About a year ago I bought a Leeds away jersey on ebay. I thought I was getting a great deal and wasnt suspicious in the least until, after I won the auction and I realized that the seller was in Bangkok. I honestly never expected to even have the jersey in my grubby little hands, but lo and behold it arrived about 2 months later. I was ecstatic until I pulled it out of the plastic and realized there was nary a difference between the jersey and the bag it came in. It feels like the kind of material one would use on a windbreaker or maybe a kite? I dont have the jersey in front of me so I dont know what the tag says the material its made of. My question is this: Is this what the premiership jerseys are made of? or did I just buy a cheap asian knock off? I see the away jerseys are on sale on kitbag.com and would like to buy one. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Leeds??? Sheesh... :)

It depends, really...Alot of jerseys are very thin, because the players like them like that. Or you could have bought a very cheap knock-of, a real possibility considering a came form Bangkok. It's really tough to answer without seeing it.

How much did you pay?? That may answer it, right there.

Im not a big Leeds Untd fan, but Im a big fan of their away jerseys. ;) Besides if I wore it around here about 1 in a 1000 would actually know whose jersey it is.

I paid about $20, but its on sale on kitbag.com for $17 ($50 off regular price). Im hoping it was a cheap knock off, I cant even stand to wear the one I have.

Sorry mate- but i think it maybe a fake.
My mates brought a few back from Bangkok (Arsenal and Real Madrid) and they look great but felt strange!

    checked my jersey

If its a fake then they go all the way. I checked it last night and its got the nike swoosh and made in the UK on the "tag". Maybe im just not used to the dry fit material. Does anyone have a dry fit jersey?? How do those feel? Thanks all.

    crappy asian nockoff

Sorry buddy but you got yourself a 100% asian knockoff. The asians are very very good at producing kockoffs that look every bit of the authentic product. Many times they even use the same material as the kits that are authentic use. One of the easy ways to determine a knockoff is in the quality of the club ensignia. if it is screen printed it on kit it is a knock off most likely. same with the sponsor.

I noticed you are from Kansas. If you are ever at a Kansas City Wizards game you might see the Mexican guys out front with a truck load of jerseys for sale. These are all knock offs as well.

[Q]If its a fake then they go all the way[/Q]

They certainly do! Theses ones where almost perfect. Tags, badges, etc. identical- BUT the material was the give away! Unfortuntley all shirts almost feel the same-
they cost only a few english pounds to buy- so someone selling one on the net could make quite a bit by no one seeing it (only touching it you can tell the difference!)

football shirts generally have the same texture as basketball shirts. 100% polyester baby!
