I just came across this and hadn't been following it till now but its pretty interesting. We have 3 of the top 14 scorers. Chelsea only have Gudjohnsen with 6 goals. Everton none and ManUre have none in the top 19 scorers!
Just an observation. More clean sheets please and we'll be back clear at the top by New Years.

    1 Thierry Henry (Arsenal) 13
    2 Robert Pires (Arsenal) 9
    Andrew Johnson (Crystal Palace) 9
    4 Craig Bellamy (Newcastle) 7
    Milan Baros (Liverpool) 7
    6 Andy Cole (Fulham) 6
    Kevin Davies (Bolton) 6
    Jermain Defoe (Tottenham) 6
    Eidur Gudjohnsen (Chelsea) 6
    Henrik Pedersen (Bolton) 6
    Aiyegbeni Yakubu (Portsmouth) 6
    Nicolas Anelka (Man City) 6
    Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (Middlesbrough) 6
    Jose Antonio Reyes (Arsenal) 6
15 Robert Earnshaw (West Brom) 5
    Shaun Wright-Phillips (Man City) 5
    Paul Dickov (Blackburn) 5
    Alan Shearer (Newcastle) 5
    Luis Boa Morte (Fulham)

    4 Milan Baros Liverpool 10

    6 Craig Bellamy Newcastle 9
7 Andrew Johnson Crystal Palace 9
    8 Robert Pires Arsenal 9
    9 Eidur Gudjohnsen Chelsea 8
    10 Aiyegbeni Yakubu Portsmouth 8
    11 Andy Cole Fulham 7
12 Robert Earnshaw West Brom 7
13 Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink Middlesbrough 7
    14 Patrick Kluivert Newcastle 7

This table shows EPL players scoring totals in all competitions. If you go to 4thegame.com it shows the same list with a breakdown by competition. I knew Van Horsey didn't have 12 in the prem. :p

It's Interesting that 4 of the others in the list used to play for us

of course another way of looking at it is that the you are too reliant on one or two guys. a blip in form or injury would hurt you more.

Or you could look at it and say that with 16 games gone, we have scored 20 more goals than Man U. and it would make sense that 3 of our players are on the list and none of yours....

    there's that too :)

don't matter though does it? Chelsea have the 5 pt lead and have only one on that list. so what does that mean - your defence is crap? ;)

And our lack of goal scoring and scorers placed high in the table has nothing to do with Ruud, Rooney and Saha all missing at least a month.

That said, Ruud's only just rounding into prem form. However, he does have 3 goals more than the entire Arsenal team in Europe, but then he has not faced stalwart defences like Rosenborg's...

Also True, which should have been stated in the first place, but you had to take a shot at Arsenal. The boys will come through tomorrow and with a loss by PSV in Greece, they will be tops in their group as well.

At least thats how it plays out in my head. :D
