I did manage to find The People's 1983/84 mid-season update now by the way too, searching for the name of the sponsor for that season (Bukta): It was published on the 8th of January, but flagged up as being due shortly in December, but I haven't yet tried to work out whether it's from the same point I've done Match's summary from (all of December games and none of January's), although I guess it'll be close anyway. For easy reference the update from late April (which had been the earliest one I'd found before) is here (bottom list - the other one is from during 82/83), with a link to the end of season summary also: https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/p...ivision-ratings.2037606/page-38#post-41891029

Jumping ahead a bit, for an end of season 1983/84 Match magazine ratings summary, shown in DBS Calcio squad recommendation form for 6 clubs (the ones I'd been detailing more - Forest, Man United, QPR with their full name this time and Tottenham, plus champions Liverpool, and also Arsenal since I noticed Tom Stevens has been following closely and that's your team Tom isn't it....) (I won't be ready to do this for all clubs for a while, so after I finish the summaries for phase 6, then the final summary for top-rated players of the season overall and maybe revisit the Match/People combined results, I'll just gradually note the squads for other clubs in my PM to vyncy at first probably) Notes: I put Crooks as SP for Man United and C for Tottenham since he has few games for each, but I put Wark as a MCC with Liverpool as if DBS Calcio's system stays the same in this respect he should be the same with Ipswich and I think MCC will suit best with them rather than INC; also I think I had mis-read one grade for Wilkins when I did the exercise before so that''s why his grade goes to 7.10 instead of 7.12 as I had calculated previously; finally I think on the basis of the first half of the season Liverpool could have 4-3-1-2 as the system with Dalglish as attacking mid behind two strikers, but for the remainder of the season they went back to more of a 4-4-2 so I've gone with that, also considering the players with high ratings.... Yeah, they had Charlie Nicholas signed at the start of the season, and then bought Mariner later on, and with Woodcock too it was kind of a 3 player attack (also used before Mariner was bought, although they started the season more like with Nicholas as SS and Woodcock the main striker in a 4-4-2); I would say Nicholas from behind the other two seems the most reasonable way to show it:
Not really no, I would say there would be a clear right and left mid, but tucked in and more withdrawn than if playing as wingers.

I can merge with this final People ratings list for a final combined Match/People 1983/84 1st Division ratings listing now (replacing the previous one although it will be similar - there are entries for all players the People listed now though albeit some in Match's list above could in theory slot in depending on their People rating, though I'm guessing for example since Ricky Hill wasn't in The People's April update unlike Hoddle that means he didn't have a high enough average with them as I think he should have had enough games - Hoddle is the one player I can include that wasn't listed in The People's final listing though since his final average is known and he just didn't meet their games played criteria) 8384peopleratings-png.232013 (508×635) Note some minor changes: like I mentioned Alvin Martin's Match rating in the half-term report had been somewhat too high, while I also end with Souness's final Match average slightly down albeit without Hoddle he'd be the top-rated player with them still so possibly would have taken the Matchman of the Season award like assumed before, even though we haven't found that yet'; also as I mentioned I'd read one of Wilkins' grades from Match as a 6 instead of a 5 when I'd done the exercise before, and when it comes to Dave Bennett of Coventry there is a trade off as Match seem to have very slightly over-stated his average in the half-term report according to my calculations using the spreadsheet, but when I'd done the previous exercise to add in grades from after that point I hadn't caught all of Coventry's midweek games in the last part of the season it seems, so actually his Match average has improved for the whole season slightly compared to what it was in my older spreadsheet.... Goalkeepers Chris Woods (Norwich) - 7.05 Nigel Spink (Aston Villa) - 6.95 Peter Shilton (Southampton) - 6.87 Peter Hucker (QPR) - 6.81 Peter Fox (Stoke) - 6.79 Phil Parkes (West Ham) - 6.78 Pat Jennings (Arsenal) - 6.77 Hans van Breukelen (Forest) - 6.76 Les Sealey (Luton) - 6.67 Paul Barron (West Brom) - 6.56 Defenders Mark Lawrenson (Liverpool) - 7.09 Graham Roberts (Tottenham) - 6.94 Chris Fairclough (Forest) - 6.92 Alvin Martin (West Ham) - 6.82 Dave Watson (Norwich) - 6.91 Viv Anderson (Forest) - 6.85 Ian Atkins (Sunderland) - 6.85 Terry Fenwick (QPR) - 6.80 Steve Wicks (QPR) - 6.80 Noel Blake (Birmingham) - 6.77 Kenny Sansom (Arsenal) - 6.73 Alan Kennedy (Liverpool) - 6.71 Chris Hughton (Tottenham) - 6.70 Terry Butcher (Ipswich) - 6.69 Rueben Agboola (Southampton) - 6.67 George Burley (Ipswich) - 6.61 Bob Hazell (QPR/Leicester) - 6.61 Arthur Albiston (Man Utd) - 6.56 Midfielders Glenn Hoddle (Tottenham) - 7.44 Ray Wilkins (Man Utd) - 7.33 Steve Williams (Southampton) - 7.19 Graeme Souness (Liverpool) - 7.16 Peter Reid (Everton) - 7.13 Bryan Robson (Man Utd) - 7.13 Craig Johnston (Liverpool) - 6.94 Trevor Brooking (West Ham) - 6.92 Steve Perryman (Tottenham) - 6.91 Steve Wigley (Forest) - 6.89 Sammy Lee (Liverpool) - 6.84 Kevin Sheedy (Everton) - 6.76 Dennis Mortimer (Aston Villa) - 6.75 Martin O'Neill (Notts County) - 6.74 Kevin MacDonald (Leicester) - 6.71 Steve McMahon (Aston Villa) - 6.67 Brian Horton (Luton) - 6.65 Trevor Putney (Ipswich) - 6.65 John Gregory (QPR) - 6.60 Gary Waddock (QPR) - 6.55 Forwards Ian Rush (Liverpool) - 7.13 Kenny Dalglish (Liverpool) - 7.09 Tony Woodcock (Arsenal) - 7.04 John Chiedozie (Notts County) - 7.02 Paul Mariner (Ipswich/Arsenal) - 7.02 John Deehan (Norwich) - 6.97 John Barnes (Watford) - 6.91 Danny Wallace (Southampton) - 6.90 Eric Gates (Ipswich) - 6.87 Paul Walsh (Luton) - 6.86 Steve Archibald (Tottenham) - 6.83 Gary Lineker (Leicester) - 6.80 Steve Moran (Southampton) - 6.79 Peter Withe (Aston Villa) - 6.77 Steve Lynex (Leicester) - 6.77 George Reilly (Watford) - 6.72 Frank Stapleton (Man Utd) - 6.71 Cyrille Regis (West Brom) - 6.60 Terry Gibson (Coventry) - 6.57 So I guess in the end the People/Match XI could be put into a 4-3-1-2 system to maximise the top-rated inclusions (although Hoddle according to the rules of Match and People and Williams according to the rules of Match probably wouldn't go in a published XI): Woods; Anderson, Lawrenson, Roberts, Sansom; Hoddle, Wilkins, Williams; Dalglish; Rush, Woodcock I guess if we find Match's XI it could likely show these names (assuming requiring 30 games): Woods; Anderson, Lawrenson, Fairclough, Sansom; Bracewell, Souness, Bryan Robson; Chiedozie, Rush, Deehan (I won't post the ratings summary spreadsheet again today but I'm entering Fairclough into what was Dave Watson's place now - I'll keep Hoddle listed as an extra entry too given he'd have the highest rating even if ineligible for Matchman of the Season based on games played) The People's XI is a bit hard to put together all things considered, but for sure I'm changing the entry on the spreadsheet too to put George Burley in as right back (considering Fenwick mostly or always played in the centre I think this season and I realised I'd pencilled him in as number 2 - Burley getting in puts him equal with Anderson for most entries as number 2 in the XI of one of the sources over the whole 70s to 90s period we've been looking into, even though he had quite a low average with Match for this 1983/84 season despite a 50/50 split between Match and People for his inclusions overall now) and since I put Perryman as ACD for the DBS Calcio squad (even though he did play in other positions too) I'm putting him in for right wing in the 4-4-2 instead of Sammy Lee, which makes the XI: Shilton; Burley, Lawrenson, Roberts, Kennedy; Perryman, Reid, Wilkins, Barnes; Dalglish, Rush
Just catching up on this thread and can see some great work as usual @PDG1978 ! I thought I'd posted it before, but here is the original Matchman of the Year 1983/84 page for comparison. Firstly it looks like they might have 'forgotten' Norwich as Woods, Watson and Deehan are nowhere to be seen... Secondly, no sign of Kenny Sansom. Otherwise you weren't far off! It does seem harsh that Ian Atkins didn't get into the team of the year despite being the third-highest average rated defender. They would always stick to that 4-3-3...
Ah, ok, cool, nice to see it! Unless I had missed a post somewhere I don't think it had been posted before no, but you had posted everything else from that season. It does seem like they missed Norwich (maybe easy done - I did miss Watford off a recent post at first, even if it was only for one phase), but they have got Chiedozie in there so I think like I mentioned they'd just missed him off the mid-season version accidentally. Alvin Martin had less than 30 games so it's immaterial for their final listing whether they'd got him with too high an average (maybe they'd have corrected things for the final listing anyway though and just made a mis-calculation in mid-season for the half-term report which as you know had Chris Woods of Norwich highlighted as top goalie indeed). Yeah, I suppose a 3 defender system was if anything less used than 4-3-3 anyway still (I'm working my way though allocating systems for each team so the ratings can be entered on that DBS Calcio site we've been mentioning eventually, and I guess Southampton may have a 3-4-3 system again and actually Sunderland themselves could be a possibility for 3 centre backs as I'm still very unfamiliar with their 1983/84 games so far and I guess either they had many games using 3 centre backs or Shaun Elliott didn't play many games as a centre back that season - you might have a better idea than me at this point but anyway there will be enough to help me with Match of the Day Youtube clips etc and perhaps reports by The People that I can look at too).
Yeah, Peter Mendham would be among the midfielders in theory too by my calculations (and he was among them in the half-term report). I guess Delia Smith could have been furious to open her copy of Match if she was a subscriber haha, when she and other Norwich fans would have been expecting their players to feature in the final summary (after Woods had been particularly highlighted in the half-term report - I guess it's semi-surprising that that didn't trigger someone on the staff to double check Norwich in general, or that Deehan being April Player of the Month didn't prompt somebody to realise either). I guess they could have eliminated Norwich players due to biased grades being awarded or something, but I doubt it so probably it's just an oversight that wasn't picked up on. I see that Ian Rush may have been the Match Readers Player of the Year for calendar year 1983 (if that's what is referred to - there was a similar mention for Dalglish in the previous season's write-up and I think I/we seemed to establish it probably was a calendar year award, that carried on for years afterwards seemingly - Bergkamp won that for 1997 for example). I guess the main details for that would be outside the Matchfacts section anyway. It'd be a notable accolade for Rush considering the 1983 years of Dalglish, Robson, Hoddle etc for example I'd say....
I think those are in effect the players that will form the 'DBS Calcio XI of the season' when the Match grades do get entered on @vyncy 's site anyway, as the requirement for games is 50% rather than 30 games as Match used themselves. I've decided upon 4-3-3 for both Notts County and Luton, rather than 4-4-2 (so Ricky Hill of Luton will be an INC not an ACD in that case) I think now. Chiedozie did play at times, later on in the season, as a second attacker in a 4-4-2, and maybe was used as right winger, left winger, 3rd attacker/winger at certain points, but it seems like 4-3-3 with him as ACD seems the best fit I think. So those 11 would be the top-rated in each allocated role: P - Woods TLD - Anderson TLS - Thomas MCC - Souness SCD - Lawrenson LCD - Fairclough ACD - Chiedozie INC - Hoddle C - Rush ACS - Devonshire SP - Deehan This is the full Notts County squad: 1 (P): McDonagh (24 games, 6.58), Leonard (18 games, 6.61) 2 (TLD): Benjamin (15 games, 6.27), Hodson (13 games, 6.00), Lahtinen (6 games, 6.33) 3 (TLS): Worthington (24 games, 6.38), Clarke (19 games, 5.95), Davis (1 game, 5.00) 4 (MCC): Hunt (39 games, 6.26), Goodwin (28 games, 6.00) 5 (SCD): Kilcline (24 games, 6.08), Armstrong (10 games, 6.20) 6 (LCD): Richards (34 games, 6.76), Roeder (4 games, 7.00) 7 (ACD): Chiedozie (40 games, 7.18), McParland (20 games, 6.25) 8 (INC): O'Neill (38 games, 6.76) 9 (C): Christie (38 games, 6.55) 10 (ACS): Harkouk (29 games, 6.41), Mair (15 games, 6.13) 11 (SP): McCulloch (22 games, 6.09), Fashanu (17 games, 6.06), Jones (1 game, 5.00) EDIT - Just to note that I'm keeping Sansom, Woods and Deehan on the 'Ratings Summary spreadsheet' for Match's XI, because having calculated all the grades it's clear they are in it I think (normally I would use the Match XI as printed at the end but in this case it seems valid to make those adjustments to it, as they would have done so themselves in theory I guess).
Maybe it's good to add the 1983/84 Goal of the Season video to the thread at this point: Certainly a pretty good, or very good, selection I'd say. Maybe even a bit misleading in some ways (for sure there were a few too many long, random, balls out of defence for my liking ideally in this period I think in English football, even though not so much from my team Nottingham Forest, like Paul W had alluded to also, even if I don't really remember clearly what I saw of them and so I get a better idea from Youtube clips - perhaps they were a bit less expansive than in some later seasons still, albeit they scored a lot of goals actually; even for Forest reading old reports can help me get a fuller idea too anyway as for example I don't think I was really aware before that they had a short period playing more of a 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 in that season when Mills came into the team as an extra midfielder late in the season) Obviously, re: 'long balls' it's true that still sometimes they could/can directly lead to cracking, and quality, finishes, after the pinball effect takes place though!

I think I've figured out Sunderland as best as I can now (there isn't much game footage, but as well as newspaper reports some Sunderland-related websites could help too), and I think 5-3-2 with 3 centre backs indeed is probably the best choice, even though more of a 4-4-2, or 4-2-2-2 perhaps sometimes, was also used both early and late in the season it seems - I think James (and also Atkinson) was mostly played as true left winger and often Proctor was like the 2nd/3rd midfielder but tending to be a bit ahead of or to the right of Bracewell, and sometimes probably one of Chisholm, Atkins or Elliott indeed playing more in midfield (sometimes left back too with Pickering in midfield I think)..... Sunderland (5-3-2) 1 (P): Turner (42 games, 6.64) 2 (TLD): Chisholm (36 games, 6.64) 3 (TLS): Pickering (41 games, 6.46), Munro (9 games, 6.00), Murray (1 game, 7.00) 4 (MCC): Bracewell (37 games, 7.14) 5 (SCD): Atkins (40 games, 6.95), Hindmarch (12 games, 6.25) 6 (LCD): Elliott (33 games, 6.64) 7 (ACD): Venison (41 games, 6.54), Cooke (2 games, 5.50) 8 (INC): Proctor (40 games, 6.30) 9 (C): West (37 games, 6.27), Chapman (14 games, 5.79) 10 (ACS): James (33 games, 6.55), Atkinson (8 games, 6.38) 11 (SP): Rowell (33 games, 6.36), Robson (8 games, 6.75) I will take some longer for sure to add Watford, West Brom, Stoke, Birmingham and Wolves though now....
I have got West Brom done now too though: West Bromwich Albion (4-4-2) 1 (P): Barron (42 games, 6.36) 2 (TLD): Whitehead (34 games, 6.21), Ebanks (7 games, 6.00), Webb (5 games, 6.00) 3 (TLS): Cowdrill (22 games, 6.23), Statham (16 games, 6.69) 4 (MCC): Jol (16 games, 5.75), Lewis (14 games, 6.29), Grealish (11 games, 6.55), Robson (5 games, 6.00) 5 (SCD): McNaught (42 games, 6.26), Forsyth (7 games, 6.00) 6 (LCD): Bennett (29 games, 6.59), Robertson (6 games, 6.50) 7 (ACD): Zondervan (29 games, 6.07), Luke (8 games, 5.88), Kent (1 game, 7.00) 8 (INC): Owen (20 games, 6.65), MacKenzie (19 games, 6.63), Hunt (12 games, 7.00) 9 (C): Thompson (37 games, 6.59) 10 (ACS): Morley (26 games, 6.00), Cross (23 games, 6.22) 11 (SP): Regis (30 games, 6.60), Perry (13 games, 6.23), Monaghan (3 games, 5.67) I won't show the full Ipswich squad a 2nd time, but since like I say for the DBS Calcio system if a player is playing 50%+ of the games overall but for more than one club he should be given the same role for all clubs then I'll adjust to put Zondervan as an ACD for Ipswich too (which actually kind of works well both for appearance numbers per role and also because Ipswich by the time he played for them were using basically a 4-3-1-2 with Gates behind two strikers, and in that system the ACD would be the right midfielder anyway, like it was in previous seasons when Thijssen was ACD for them...although for this season overall I'm still thinking 4-3-3 for Ipswich based on when O'Callaghan was playing predominantly). So before it was this for Ipswich's ACD and INC roles: 7 (ACD): Gates (37 games, 6.89) 8 (INC): Putney (33 games, 6.58), Parkin (19 games, 6.00), Zondervan (8 games, 6.38) I'll change it to this: 7 (ACD): Gates (37 games, 6.89), Zondervan (8 games, 6.38) 8 (INC): Putney (33 games, 6.58), Parkin (19 games, 6.00)
I've come to the point of completing a suggested DBS Calcio template for the remaining 1983/84 1st Division teams a bit sooner than I expected so I might as well post those directly on the thread, to complete the set, all on the same page, too (I'll need to check with vyncy that the roles are correctly allocated for the 4-4-1-1 option but I guess they'd be like shown anyway) - in effect, like for 1982/83 also (linked here - https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/p...ivision-ratings.2037606/page-46#post-42733033) all of the calculated Match season averages are on the thread now within these squad templates (but some players played for more than one club of course - in 1983/84 Ken Armstrong played for Southampton, then Notts County on loan, then Southampton again and Garth Crooks played for Tottenham then Man Utd on loan then Tottenham likewise; for example too you can see in post #1312 the combined averages between 2 clubs for four players who made the cut-off for inclusion on that basis): Birmingham City (4-3-3) 1 (P): Coton (41 games, 6.61), Kendall (1 game, 6.00) 2 (TLD): Hagan (32 games, 5.94), McCarrick (13 games, 5.69), Roberts (11 games, 6.09), Mumford (4 games, 6.25) 3 (TLS): Van den Hauwe (42 games, 6.00) 4 (MCC): Stevenson (24 games, 6.00), Broadhurst (22 games, 6.18) 5 (SCD): Blake (39 games, 6.62) 6 (LCD): Wright (40 games, 6.78) 7 (ACD): Gayle (33 games, 6.76) 8 (INC): Kuhl (20 games, 6.10), Phillips (20 games, 5.90), Linton (4 games, 5.50) 9 (C): Harford (39 games, 6.36), Muir (1 game, 6.00) 10 (ACS): Halsall (21 games, 6.24), Rogers (9 games, 6.11), Handysides (5 games, 6.20) 11 (SP): Hopkins (32 games, 6.22), Rees (23 games, 6.13) Stoke City (4-3-3) 1 (P): Fox (42 games, 6.83) 2 (TLD): Bould (38 games, 6.21), Savage (5 games, 6.20), Parkin (1 game, 6.00) 3 (TLS): Hampton (32 games, 6.09), N.Chamberlain (3 games, 6.00), Hemming (3 games, 6.33) 4 (MCC): McIlroy (40 games, 6.80) 5 (SCD): O'Callaghan (38 games, 6.26), McAughtrie (17 games, 6.41) 6 (LCD): Dyson (38 games, 6.37), Berry (8 games, 6.25) 7 (ACD): M.Chamberlain (40 games, 6.55), Griffiths (4 games, 5.75) 8 (INC): James (40 games, 6.83), Maskery (16 games, 6.19) 9 (C): Painter (32 games, 6.63), Russell (11 games, 6.73), Heath (3 games, 6.00) 10 (ACS): Hudson (16 games, 6.88), Thomas (16 games, 6.63) 11 (SP): Maguire (27 games, 6.26), Tueart (3 games, 6.67) Watford (4-4-2) 1 (P): Sherwood (40 games, 6.35), Steele (2 games, 6.50) 2 (TLD): Bardsley (25 games, 6.40), Palmer (10 games, 5.90), Rice (6 games, 5.17), Gibbs (2 games, 6.00) 3 (TLS): Rostron (38 games, 6.66), Price (8 games, 6.13) 4 (MCC): Taylor (27 games, 6.30), Jobson (13 games, 6.31), Richardson (7 games, 6.14), Patching (1 game, 5.00) 5 (SCD): Sims (22 games, 6.91), Terry (17 games, 6.41) 6 (LCD): Franklin (24 games, 6.13), Sinnott (19 games, 6.68), Bolton (7 games, 6.00) 7 (ACD): Callaghan (41 games, 6.59), Sterling (9 games, 6.56) 8 (INC): Jackett (31 games, 6.23), Lohman (7 games, 6.86), Porter (1 game, 6.00) 9 (C): Reilly (27 games, 6.67), Gilligan (12 games, 6.08) 10 (ACS): Barnes (39 games, 6.82), Atkinson (10 games, 5.60) 11 (SP): Johnston (28 games, 6.68), Johnson (2 games, 5.50) Wolverhampton Wanderers (4-4-1-1) 1 (P): Burridge (32 games, 6.47), Bradshaw (10 games, 6.50) 2 (TLD): Humphrey (28 games, 5.93), Buckland (14 games, 5.64) 3 (TLS): Palmer (26 games, 5.73), Bennett (6 games, 5.67) 4 (MCC): Daniel (19 games, 6.32), Rudge (18 games, 5.56), Blair (10 games, 5.70), Bayly (7 games, 6.14), Butler (1 game, 4.00) 5 (SCD): Pender (34 games, 6.12), Coy (5 games, 5.40), Watkiss (2 games, 6.50), Rodger (1 game, 5.00) 6 (LCD): Dodd (41 games, 6.00) 7 (ACD): Towner (30 games, 5.77), Hibbitt (21 games, 6.19), Smith (11 games, 5.45) 8 (INC): Troughton (17 games, 6.06), Cartwright (16 games, 5.25), Dougherty (5 games, 7.20), Matthews (2 games, 6.00), Wintersgill (2 games, 4.50), Jackson (1 game, 6.00) 9 (C): Livingstone (13 games, 5.69), Gray (9 games, 6.22), Mardenborough (9 games, 5.22) 10 (ACS): Crainie (28 games, 6.18), Kellock (3 games, 5.67) 11 (SP): Clarke (29 games, 5.76), Eves (15 games, 6.13), McGarvey (13 games, 6.15)
Kudos again to @vyncy for restoring the 1980/81 English Championship to DBS Calcio (which is going to aid me in helping to add 1983/84 myself I think), and for his work on that season in the first place (like I said before for that season he did it all himself using mainly Match ratings and adding in others, predominantly using The People, where needed, and I only helped with advising about formations and roles of players): Miscellaneous Player Rankings Now there are added bonuses compared to on the old site, especially being able to bring up individual games (using the Research Match tab and entering the team names): Match Formations Match Formations Match Formations Match Formations It could be because I'd not been the one compiling the averages at first but although I knew Martin O'Neill's combined Forest and Norwich average was a high one (maybe I didn't actually calculate it though) it might be I overlooked that he could make it in the DBS Calcio XI with it in effect (the new site also has the added bonus of listing players who played for more than one club with their combined average on the top ratings pages), and also could go into the XI I'd put on the 'Ratings Summary spreadsheet' (I can put him in that instead of Gerry Francis now anyway based on the restored DBS Calcio details - it leaves a 4-4-2 XI as Shilton; Burley, Osman, Foster, Mills; Thijssen, Johnston, O'Neill, Muhren; Withe, Brazil) The breakdowns for individual players can be seen now too, game by game, by clicking on the player names, and team summaries can be found via the Research tab (using Team Search boxes): With 18 games being the new cutoff, on the team pages, it puts Trevor Francis into the Forest 'best XI' now (edit: maybe 18 games is not the cut-off as such, as Mills remains in the XI rather than Ponte but there may be an extra layer that prioritises players with less than 21 games but more than 10 or 12 or something I guess, hence Francis now in the XI rather than Birtles) DBS Search Here is the Ipswich squad too for example: DBS Search EDIT: Ah, for the team searches my links take you to the search page I see, but anyway it's easy from there to select season and team name and get the result. The other links go directly to the relevant pages for player rankings and match details....
Extra info from vyncy (it's quicker to search for a season's games this way - the Research Match tab is good for all games between two particular teams though): So yeah Research tab and then Competition Search boxes basically brings up all the games in a league in a particular season.
