The incident I was speaking about happened in the 9th minute. That was nothing like the Rooney incident. There was minor contact in a tussle for the ball but no foul and then Young emerged from it, there was a hand on his back but very little to no pressure and then he threw himself to the ground. There was no penalty there. I've just gone back and watched it a few times. EDIT: Saw another angle. I'm wrong. It was a dive, but it was also a pen. It was harder to call given the fact that Rooney's arm was being held as opposed to his shirt. EDIT: I can't believe we let Rooney take a pen with Cheech and Welbeck on the pitch.
LMAO, you are trying to argue that Anderson has been a regular starter in his 4 and a half years here?
Yeah, I dont know, for me, you could see the hands pull shit shirt back, and the posture of the defender also suggested a pull. No. This season, when Anderson was fit, he was a regular starter.
Just saw the third goal for United. I have to say that the moment Valencia was put through by Welbeck iirc, it seemed a goal was in the making. We're so dangerous on the wings. Giggs' service was fantastic and deserves applaud, but Cheech's movement and anticipation of that ball is what made it. If you look closely, he's actually behind David Luiz when the ball is played to Giggs. Cheech anticipates a first time cross and then cuts in front of Luiz and when it doesn't come, he jabs back as if headed to the far post before launching himself after the ball. Luiz should have been tighter, but a lot of credit has to go to Cheech. He's a natural goalscorer and I'm happy he got the 3rd goal.
This is a fantastic piece. I did not expect Sky Sports to have writers of this quality. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11979/7492047/Blockbuster-battle
^^^ One thing that separates DDG from Lindegaard. I have trouble seeing that save being made by our other GK.
He was a starter since we had no other options then. Fletcher was and is dispossessed, Carrick was injured, Jones wasn't considered a midfield option yet and Scholes was retired.
De Gea was cheating a bit here as well, if the ball was going to the left corner, he might've been wrong footed. But a great save, especially considering the timing.
this was pretty good by Anders: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaLkdMzQLAI"]Lindegaard amazing save vs Manchester City 2012!!(HD) - YouTube[/ame] i noticed that too. could be that he's seen him do that before from training with Spain?
Anderson started the season as a starter. Its fair to say that SAF was giving him a chance, along with Welbeck and Cleverley.
I don't think that word really has much meaning in our midfield - "starter" - we switch things up based on the opposition just as much as it's based on giving out minutes/injuries/etc. I'd say the only lock is Carrick.
infamous [in-fuh-muhs] adjective 1. having an extremely bad reputation: an infamous city. 2. deserving of or causing an evil reputation; shamefully malign; detestable: an infamous deed.

Ah, Urban Dictionary, where the slow kids go to find out what the rude words/latest slang really mean.

All that time on the caf has messed up with Charley's sarcasm detector. Btw does an Europa league thread (aka the youth muppet fantasy thread) sound interesting to you lads?
