I realize as a Quakes fan I am due no respect from any Wizards fan... however, I am about to ask a big favor. My sister happens to be a huge Preki fan and I noticed this weekend was a giveaway of a Preki bobblehead. Is there any chance someone would pick one up for me to give to my sister? I would gladly pay for shipping costs, etc. I would even throw in a little extra $$... If anyone is interested in helping me out, please email me at nicholas_mooney@hotmail.com. Thanks, Nick BTW, I went to LA last week to vist family and caught the Wizards/Gals game with my sister. I am so sorry about the result. My sister, being the preki fan she is, was torn that the Wizards lost. Having been destroyed by that same ref before, I feel your pain.
I realize that everyone would want their own, but I was curious if someone would be willing to pick me up an extra one (sneaky, I know, but I'm willing to pay ) Nick
Not possible. The way they did it with the Meola doll was to go to the gate before the game, show them your ticket for the game, they mark the ticket and give you a doll. Sure there's ways around it, most easily to just buy an extra ticket.
No offense, but I'm planning on buying an extra ticket and then putting my extra bobblehead up on eBay. I need the money, baby...
They said that it was one per person this year, so Im guessing they caught on to the "buy more than one ticket, get more than one bobblehead"
Let's just remember our distant Wizard fans before we start sending them to non-Wizard Fans! I still don't have a Meola.
I just now got a Meola bobblehead. I've been wanting one ever since they handed them out. Look at my screen name and think of how odd it is that I didn't get one. lol Anyway, I got my bobblehead on ebay, so you might wanna try that.
I offered mine up. Although if I get a Preki one, its going on my desk at work right next to the bobblehead of Dial's CEO. No, I'm not kidding, our CEO had bobbleheads made and each worker has one.
How self-centered do you have to be to have a bobblehead made after you if your the CEO of a soap company? I just hope our life insurance company doesn't start making bobble-coffins... Disgusting thought isn't it!?!?
I wouldnt mind being the CEO of Ben's company, Ill say that... Who here DOESNT want their own bobblehead?
It supposed to be a motivational tool or something. Hes dressed in baseball garb and the stand is a miniture baseball infield. He standing there with a clipboard with a checklist of "goals" and each base on the diamond has one of our products. Still, I laughed my ass off when they came by to give me the thing. Every once in a while I give him a knock the head just for a laugh.
How early do you guys recommend getting there to insure I get a bobblehead. My wife and I are coming up from Oklahoma to watch the match, and we want to be there in time to get a bobblehead. Thanks Daniel
So this year, it's buy more than one ticket, go to more than one gate, get more than one bobblehead. What's an additional step to us greedy folks?
Bought mine on Ebay just now. Did "Buy it now" for $40 plus shipping. Rather than wait the week. I guess if I was considering $200 for a plane ticket plus a rental car to go to the game to get the bobblehead, I may as well shell over the $40 (two tickets and dinner at that game) that it was worth it. Plus, the seller is throwing in a game program, etc. Still don't have Meola's either, they just had one on Ebay and I was waiting to bid at the last minute, and lost track of time, so lost the bid. James
Did you get it signed? Preki was signing autographs after the game with Tony Meola. I got my bobblehead signed and a game program from Tony and Lamar. I even got Lamar Hunts autograph.
TRADE? I've got an extra Meola Bobblehead from last year. If anyone has an extra Preki from the game and want's to trade PM me. I stood in two different lines and both ran out when I was about 30 people from the table. I had to give up...
Ditto Same here...I'll trade a Tony for a Preki. I saw that hands-across-America-sized line and decided not to wait it out. I remember after a couple of months on eBay, people couldn't even get a $5 opening bid on their Tony dolls.
No Bobble but something better! I missed the bobble's by about 30 people too, which had me pretty bummed out....until Preki came out of the game and threw his jersey to which I jumped at least 8' and snatched!!! (at least it felt like 8 feet! haha) Ohhhh Yeahhhhh.....40th Birthday, 5 point, bobblehead night Preki sweaty jersey!
