I think we've seen enough Beckerman and Edu so lets try Specs. Solidify the backline, bring in D-subs second half. Attack stays the same...

Like it, don't know if will happen.
The K-man has Williams, Edu and Beckermann, still to use instead of Spector.
Only way I see Beasley lining up on the right, where he is always less good because he is left-footed, is to have Shea and he switching often. Could be good.

Just a note: Williams has left the building. But your point still stands.

Am I the only one that expects Klinsmann to go with Orozco Fiscal again? My reasoning is that Klinsmann hasn't really tested him against a decent quality opponent yet:

    1. Against Mexico, Klinsmann lined up 4 CMs and Donovan doing defensive work, so Orozco wasn't really exposed. Coincidentally, that was the only match in the Klinsmann era so far where the CMs and backline weren't consistently broken down outside the box.

    2. Orozco played against Costa Rica and Honduras with less protection, but since they didn't bring their full squads they are much weaker opponents. I feel like Bigsoccer has been slightly harsh on his performance in these matches.

    3. Orozco didn't play against Belgium, our toughest match so far.

Are we sure? Ives has him in his projected lineup, and one of his posters says he saw Williams in NY.

It won't shock me, but it will disappoint. MOF couldn't stand the test against CR or Hon., so I'm not sure what more JK needs to see....that MOF is even worse against a better opponent?

This is the article from a Hoffenheim site that says Williams is skipping Ecuador and returning to Germany. Maybe it's true, maybe it's false. US Soccer hasn't confirmed anything yet.

Honestly I'm okay with strange personnel experiments by Klinsmann, at least until the friendlies next March. This is the point in the cycle where the manager should pursue stuff like this. If he really thinks Orozco is the answer, I hope he plays him enough to actually know with 99% certainty.

    Re: USA vs Ecuador 10-11-11

I definitely want to see Spector in the mix, but think he might be just as effective as the LB with Chandler playing in your Beasley spot. The problem I have is I would like to get the Beas on the field, but maybe just sub him in for Shea at 70. If Williams is still around, I would prefer him to start over Bradley (not sold on MB fitting into JK's system of play) and maybe Beckerman again, although he probably is not going to go the full 90.

Something like this (I promise to keep it to 10 field players this time).:D

    -------------------Altidore/Aguedelo-------------

    Shea/Beas-----------------Demps--------------------------Chandler

    -----------------Beckerman/Edu-------------Williams

    Spector---------------Ream----------Gooch----------------Dolo

    --------------------------Howard/Hammid-----------------------------------

Ives said on twitter that Williams is indeed leaving tomorrow. No Williams against Ecuador.

I get your point, I just don't see that Klinsmann is doing much experimenting nor will he have too much time to do so prior to qualifiers next year. I'm fine with Gooch getting time to see where he is at physically. Boca, he only needs about a half, we know what we get with him. MOF, I think we've seen what he brings to the table. Ream, I don't get the point of calling him into multiple camps only to leave him off the gameday roster. If Ream is that far away, cut bait for a while and bring in G. John and/or Gonzo.

Now Ives is saying it was a false alarm and that Williams will be available tomorrow.

If it came from the club's website that he is leaving then there is a good chance he is leaving.

I dont believe in hassles when your supporting the TEAM you love ESPECIALLY if its the USA!! What an Honor! I live in Houston...Huge metro-area it can take you one hour to go from one end to another easily....there isnt a popular or useful system (public transportation sucks here) to connect the outer areas to the inside of the city or to the other ends...you HAVE To drive everywhere!!! But there is no excuse to not go because its not convenient to get there! People are dying to have a stadium and team in their state or city and they dont!! Appreciate what you have!

Is what I want to see. Chandler and Shea played great together on the left side last game. Onyewu also played pretty well coming on as a sub, and I want to see him paired with Boca from the start.

I don't think Edu had a great game last game, but far too many people are making complaints. He wasn't bad, and he's playing pretty well for the Rangers right now so give him another chance, this time as the more defensive CM. Beckerman isn't a good partner for him.

I also want to see Agudelo and Bradley come on at some point.

Chris Woods will be the #USMNT goalkeeper coach on Jurgen Klinsmann's staff. He will serve double duty as the goalkeeper coach at Everton.
