Houston Dynamo vs. RSL Saturday 4/22/06 6:30pm MDT Robertson Stadium, Houston, TXTV: KSL-TV (live) Direct Kick (live) MLSnet.com (live stream) Radio: Hot Ticket 700 AM (live in English) La Bonita 1600 (en vivo en Español) RSL (0-2-1, 1 pt., 6th West) heads on the road to face the Houston Dynamo (1-2-0, 3 pts., T-3rd West) at Robertson Stadium in Houston, Texas for the first time.
All of a sudden I feel like listening to the Smashing Pumpkins. Strange, that is. Edit: Will RSL finally be wearing their white kits? Have they still not received their whites? What gives? Is this a professional sport?!
Houston is going to be hungry. They are a great team that came out explosive in a 5-2 drilling of the CRapids but then imploded to loose late to KC and get thrown around by DC last weekend. This is going to be a tough test for RSL, but with 2 losses in a row for the Dynamo, its doable by RSL. Same lineup as NYRB match except maybe Kreis and Johnson are in. I wouldn't mind seeing Cabrera or even Forko get the start. Cabrera- http://real.saltlake.mlsnet.com/MLS...cabrera_g&playerId=cab553110&statType=current Forko- http://real.saltlake.mlsnet.com/MLS...r=forko_w&playerId=for367964&statType=current
If we have any fitness problems it will show in the heat and humidity. Because of 2 losses Houston will come out hard hoping for a quick lead. We're just going to have to come out with intensity and energy to counter that. Now is the time to show if we've got heart! I think we can do it. Will Kreis be starting yet?
Agreed. This might be the right time & place to draw upon our younger talent earlier on... Ryan Johnson 'Tiba Harris Jamie Watson Nik Besagno Willis Forko
I think Nik will be gone with the U-20 team. http://www.ussoccer.com/articles/viewArticle.jsp_280876.html U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team Training Camp Buenos Aires, Argentina April 18th - 27th, 2006 Player Pos. So now that Kreis is a confirmed start, anyone want to hazard a guess on lineup, formation, and 18-player roster? I'm told to look for the 3-5-2 again--which I fear could end up in a feeding frenzy for Ching & DD.
Well Talley is listed in today's article as ready to play. Yeah... My guess is we'll see something similiar to last week, but with maybe Cutler out, Williams as a-mid and Kreis up top with Cunningham. Garlick Brown-Talley-Pope-Torres Sequira Klein-Ballouchy Williams Kries-Cunningham Not what I would hope for, but maybe what they will do.
Well in any case, Jeff Cunningham needs to get a goal. The man has been on fire in previous seasons and its sad that he has none so far, in a season when ever defenders Conrad and Goodson have goals (well Goodson's was a own-goal but whatever ).
My best guess (not my preferred)... ------Garlique®-------- Talley---Pope---Torres Cutler---------Sequeira Klein---Kreis---Ballouchy Cunningham----Williams On Bench Nolly Brown Akwari Watson (?) Johnson Harris Novak EDIT: we already have an active GOTW thread...
BTW, despite my issues with your GOTW Ballot Stuffing Cabal, I'm hoping you all put a hurting on the Houston Identity Crisis on Saturday.
I was actually thinking about you. In fact, I'm surprised you even knew what a tape was. Good for you. See, not all people in Texas are backwards hicks. Just remember to bring it with you to your next gathering if you want some audio.
