My only prediction is that at least one goal will be scored.

I think the best result would be a tie. That'll quickly wake us up and maybe we can return the favor at their place. I'm not feeling strong positive vibrations coming from a single victory at home this early in the hex even thought it would be over our rivals. A catastrophic loss would be the most entertaining for all the "fire Bob" postings sure to follow. It's so early in the hex I just can't get a positve feel.

Reverse of the Gold Cup outcome: El Tri: 2, U.S. : 1

We have a huge need for one thing we don't have, good crosses into the box. Good service = goals.

i think 3 - 0 why u ask because Dempsey is on fire with Fulham Donovan is playing well with Bayern , when Beasley came on for rangers vs milan he looked like the best player for Rangers and hungry for playing time , Gooch and Boca have been playing well for their clubs , Torres is on fire with pachuca and he will let mexico know what they lost if he gets to play , Bradley and Sasha we know their solid , and cant forget about el pato HOWARD no need to say nothing about him i would put him on the top 10 GK's in the world

what does worry me is Altidore, Pearce, Hejduk & Wynne, how would they do i dont know but my boy Altidore i could count on and im crossing my fingers Wynne gets on the field and make them mexicans run im preety shure hes the fastest player between the both other than that

GOL GOL GOL GOL AZO AZO AZO DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS !!!!!!!!!!!

I think Klejstan, Dempsey, Torres, and Bradley are more than capable. We just don't have it coming from the fullbacks this time. Seemers and throughballs = goals too. We're seeing more and more of that especially with this midfield.

I think the headline should be: "Predicions: What date will Sven be fired?"

    I choose February 13th.

This one really bothers me. I have been listening to and reading all the so called experts and they are all overwhelmingly saying the US is going to win. Not tie, but win. Everyone seems to be drinking the koolaid on this one. I think the US will win a very tight 1-0 game on a set piece of course. At least that is my hope. But from what I am reading and hearing people say, that will be a real disappointment if the US only wins 1-0. People seem to expect the US to dominate play from whistle to whistle, but it has never been that way for us. I think that in the final analysis, Mexico will pass the ball around, hear the OLE'S!!! coming from the crowd and never break down our defense in the final third. They will walk away still feeling superior because of the time of possession but coming up short where it matters, the score board. Frankly, I think Mexico is loaded with great individuals that just aren't playing well together. I hope they get it together against Honduras and not us. I'll be watching wearing my red! Go USA!!!!!!!!!

Two second half goals one off a set piece and a late one from the field of play.
    Mexico performs heroically in defeat.
Sven keeps his job. Media pressure intensifies even more.
Big Soccer remains upset that Freddy didn't get called in.
Brian Ching gets fouled on set piece goal and sets up the other. He is criticized because Jozy did not get in the match.
Nothing gets down the right side for Mexico. People continue to assert Frankie is washed up.
Were it not for nepotism, Mike Bradley, would be a senior in college.
A lot of Big Soccer insisting "this game means everything".
Some are surprised we are not in the top 5 of Fifa rankings.
Sacha is offered a 6 million dollar deal by Celtic in June.
Freddy remains on the bench in Monaco.
People are more certain than ever it is Ricardo's fault.
Freddy realizes these trials will make him a better professional.
Mysteriously, people now suggest Frankie and Ching might end up in South Africa after all. Someone mentions how weird it is that we seem to win with those two in the lineup (they are immediately bombarded with neg rep).
A new BS poster emerges with the catchy name Frankie Ching.
No one speaks of the difference Pablo Mastroeni might have made.
Several people suggest that if BB understood tactics drawn up by the ancient masters on the Dead Sea Scrolls, the US would have won 6-0.
SFS defends Sven "He's still tinkering, an early loss was part of his master plan".
The Mexican forum starts a thread about hiring Scolari who was criticized in England for being difficult to understand.
The quest for a non American coach on BS is stepped up.
The US wins for the first time ever in San Jose.
Borussia Moenchengladbach staves off relegation. One poster decides they actually might not be a Liga II team.
Mike is seen with a very hot German girl. We suspect she is Bltleo.
Seven new thread start either mentioning the names Feilhaber or Subotic.

It sure should be interesting but I don't think we lose to THIS Mexican side though a draw is possible.

    I'm going 3-1 USA.

I'll say 1-0 USA on a PK from Donovan drawn by Ching.
