This week looks very promising as the Metros take on a pretty weak Colorado Rapids side. Let's hope that the Metros continue to play well and that the Metros continue to get better on offense. By the way, does anyone know if Ricardo Clark will play on Sat, because he played or will play in a u-23 game against Mexcio? Prediction: Metros 3 (Mathis, Magee, Guevara) Colorado 1 (Carrieri)
I'll predict 2-0 to the Metros (goals by Mathis and Magee). I also predict a decent turnout at NH.....
A bad Colorado team is getting worse since Pablo Mastroeni will be sitting out the game for yellow card accumulations. Prediction: MetroStars 2 (Guevara 22, Clark 68) Rapids 1 (Henderson 31) Also, with the high altitude, Clint may require CPR at around the 20 minute mark.
I predict the odds of the Metros winning are greater then Rapids chances of winning even though the Rapids are the home team. The Metros chances of losing are very low because of the Metros defense. So if the Metros don't win they will most likely draw away from home. So I would say we are in a far better position in this away game then the Rapids ----------------------------------- Metrostars wins 2-1 or 1-0 or draw 1-1 or 0-0 Or we get hot and people who have not scored so far score, then we kick their freaking arse 4-0
Metros are going to win, but I'll still be pacing the floor in the second half after we score. 1-0, goal by Guevara.
Begging for us to avoid a typical Jets performance where a team playing well goes on the road to a crap team and gets beat for no reason. I hope we'll win, but you could also argue Colorado is due and while our offense was flying in the first half vs. DC, it ran out of gas in the second and is playing on the road at altitude. Our first let down since the Columbus game: Metro 1 Rapids 1 (Woly, 73', Chung 82')
I agree with that, but I think, sooner or later, to prove his worth, he will score a goal out of pure luck.
Maybe I've been burned too many times as a Metros and Jets fan but I see us struggling with this one. I agree with Jamison, we often trip up these seemingly slam-dunk games. Prediction --------- Rapids 1 (Chung 48) Metros 1 (Magee 79) Even if my prediction is wrong (which I hope!), I hardly see us winning by more than 1 goal. Go Metros!
The MetroStars are going to have a laugher this season, maybe more than one. I can see it coming. Why not against these stiffs (and on national TV to boot).
MetroStars: 2 Rapids: 1 Featuring an agonizing own-goal by the Rapids near the 90th minute. Hey, I'll stand by the Rapids all the way, but I'm not feeling too optimistic lately!
