The reign of terror that we have endured under Anthony Precourt has seen many slights to our history, our heritage, and our future. However, it's hard to envision one with more long standing ramifications than this.

Four clubs are wearing recycled plastic kits in order to bring awareness to plastic marine pollution on this Saturday, celebrated around the world as Earth Day. Sadly, Columbus, the great city on the banks of the Olentangy will not be one of them.

We choose instead to shun the earth, and double down as landlocked midwesterners. Sure, we may be top of the East now, but are we guaranteed to even see MLS Cup 2017 with the polar ice caps melting?

Amazingly, neither the results of this season, nor our home planet's imminent demise seem to matter to the San Francisco Sugar Daddy. Amazingly, as we faced our historic rival Toronto FC, Mr. Precourt was up in the air, expanding his carbon footprint with nary an eye on the team.

Call your parents. Hug your loved ones. Watch this week's game. It may be your last. One Love. Glory To Columbus.

    xoxo,

I know. It's terrible. If I were you, and I hated the team as much as you do, I'd boycott everything. Starting with this forum.

Wearing a recycled trash bag would have been more appropriate last season. Just sayin.

When was the last time the Olentangy froze over? I lived in Marion for two years back in late 58 to early 60 and don't remember the weather getting that cold!. I do remember the Ohio freezing over during one of the Bengals playoff Superbowl years!

I would never boycott the preeminent site for Columbus Crew news and conversation. This forum has the internet's most intelligent soccer fans, occasional humor, and pictures of models and/or lasagna. And.....moderators. Why would I ever leave?!

Love Your Mother. Glory to Columbus.

I know for a fact it froze over a few times during my early years here, ca. 1980 or so, as my then GF walked across it. Of course, she was barely 100 lbs, so there's that.

The Scioto has definitely frozen over multiple times in the last few years, at least at Griggs.

    Classic misrepresentation of facts

"Timed to celebrate Earth Day and in conjunction with MLS's Greener Goals initiative, four MLS clubs -- New York City FC, Orlando City, LA Galaxy, and Seattle Sounders "

100% of the teams in MLS are taking part in this...;)

Ok, maybe I'm dumb... and I am. but they really look really close to the same color. Seems like it'll be hard to tell the teams apart.
