I would like a rematch with Korea.

I know we would struggle with them because of their style

We struggled with Korea because our keepers in those friendlies were horrible.

You guys think Mier was bad...

Arboleda and Castellanos played one match each. Both friendlies against Korea.

And there is a reason they only played one match each. They both were absolutely Horrible.

Mier has played decently for a couple of matches and had one bad match.

I remember Castellanos totally crapping his pants in that game; he was the best keeper in FPC at that time, but he really was hit by the stage panic.

I think Mier has more upside and experience outside FPC, so I still think of him as a contender for the GK position, but he really does need to fix some of his fundamentals and also take fewer risks with his feet.

Montero, while not as flashy, and probably nearing his peak, is more solid and less prone to make big mistakes (not that he doesn't make them), so he's also fighting for a spot.

So, at this point it looks like it's 4 keepers for 3 spots, unless Jordan or Vasquez get in the mix, which I doubt.

With the way they were pressing us

Mier would have likely tried some fancy shit and cost us a goal

Thought Quintero was the answer…. The forgotten messiah !!

tho I will give him his flowers saw him running his ass off.

bad line up this one should have played Mexico and the other Canada….

bore when he had Suarez on the bench.

both games maybe 1 clear chance to the striker but the borre was a dead ball or open play?

cucho to Diaz was them winning the ball in mf and trying to pull off a miracle

    pretty shit offensive production

    Campaz sucks as well

I liked Canada as a sparring, physical, fast, continous pressure, and they sure did their job, knowing our trends and where to press; they lack offensive punch, but they're a good test to see if we could crack a super defensive team, which is a common problem for us.

I think Montero was solid, if not spectacular, and the defense was OK, but you know that Roman was a downgrade, while Mojica should be the starter.

Rios played poorly, often trying to do too much and losing possession, and while I didn't dislike Portilla, you could see how Castaño and Lerma immediately got control of the midfield.

Quintero is better suited to finish the game than to start it. Campaz and Serna are not special if they cannot make a difference against a lesser team, so Lorenzo should be looking for alternatives. Yaser took a while to adjust, but he showed flashes of brilliance, especially after James moved to deep playmaker.

Why is Cucho still on the radar? He's so underwhelming. I'm not too crazy about Borre, but at least he is great at pressing, and a game like this might require a big 9, like Cordoba or Duran, who should be fighting for a spot in the roster.

    For the cucho borre debate

    our 2 best scoring chances

1 cucho and Diaz working together winning the ball in mf and passing to each other with Diaz shooting wide

Borre perfect cross with no defenders near him and heads it wide…..

not saying bring cucho but those going you prefer Borre I just don’t understand

we got bullied all game and he didn’t make the right subs

Lerma should have come in way earlier and keeping Quintero on with James made no sense when we didn’t have the mf at all.

taking our Diaz also killed our play

We should play San Marino to see if Borre and Cucho can actually score

Nestor would still play Lerma and Castano against San Marino / Faroe Islands

Look we don't need 30 goals against San Marino; we need 2-3 against world cup contenders.

Knowing our Federation, they would do it if we were paid well enough.
