I think it's because Ozil is being benched, there were plenty of reports that said that Ozil might miss the opening game of the WC because of his back issues. Those reports are from weeks ago. I liked the chemistry between Werner and Reus though. And Muller and Werner in other games played well off each other.

Someone should tell MAtS that russia isn't quite as friendly towards nudists as germany or catalunya...
Will this be the first German team to go out in the group stages? Draw Sweeden, beat Korea = 4 points Sweeden beat Korea, draw Germany, draw Mexico = 5 points
Germany utterly dominated by Mexico's B team, LMAO. The same Mexico that was hit by a sex scandal ahead of the World Cup. I thought Germany usually start strong and then don't play well in the next one. France'98-'02, Italy'06-'10, Spain'10-"14, the Confed Cup Curse ... not looking good. I was looking forward to seeing Plattenhardt play yet I only saw him make one touch (that poor one in the first 10' or so). The left flank was completely useless. I only know he plays for a bottom half german club but have never seen him play, why should I bother really, it's crap (still haven't seen him after this game TBH). Have any of you guys actually watched him for more than two games? Considering Kicker are basically the only ones that watch Bundesliga "football" I guess nobody did. Özil as a defensive midfielder, very innovative I must say, still Lozano had no problem scoring on Özil. Mexico should have scored another 6 (like Chile did when they beat Mexico 7-0). Great midfield, Germany, not at all too soft

It doesn't say - it just says he gave a long awaited insiders view from an active player - rather than the usual chit chat
