Just needs to keep his focus. He's getting there physically

Arda is an incredibly special talent and he's getting stronger physically. I see him having strong chance of being a RM starter in a year or two if he avoids injuries. He should be getting the kind of minutes Brahim got in 2023-24 this season.

So good not just keeping the ball under pressure but maneuvering to create space in such situations, good off the ball movement, decision making on point and put in a defensive shift too.

Honestly, Real Madrid doesn't win clasicos in the U.S. It hasn't happened in a long time. Kinda sad for the fans, but it is not something U.S. Madridistas can expect to see.

At least Basuralona fans can celebrate their pre-season trophy. Let them have it.

A full strength Real Madrid should beat a full strength Barcelona. If they don't, we have a problem.

Making a strong push for that RW position. Rodrygo better come in and put his best foot forward.

Ramon I’m not so sure about. Juan is fundamentally mature and seems to have an inside edge.

That said, think we have to get a veteran in there.

Have we ever won a pre-season game against Barca? I can remember 3 losses. Won 2 CLs when after losing 2017 and 2023 pre season friendlies vs Barca.

Pintus will get Bellingham, Mbappe, Tchouameni, Camavinga, Mendy ready for Atalanta game despite not playing friendlies. They are a good team and we will have to be sharp to beat them.

Want some academy kids from this generation making it like Carva, Nacho and LV did. See Joan, Jacobo and Rafa Marin as the ones with most possibilities of being senior squad players in future.

Also timing needs to be right which wasn't for Hakimi, Llorente, Hermoso etc. Militao is the only youngish CB we have so these 3 has the window open in next few years.

Fran is fast and has the build, but poor defensive awareness and always in rush mode while attacking. That combination sadly reminds me of Odri.

Nico Paz seems to be in the second category tbh, our midfield is so young, he won't get any real chances for 10 years or so. Makes the rumors of him looking to leave the club plausible.

Real question is are they going to be integrated into the first team or thrown back into RM Castilla like Nico Paz; only to be used during the pre-season and early stages of the CdR?

Recent rumors suggest that Nico has requested a way out either by loan or sale. It makes sense to look at the squad and figure you're not going to get much from his perspective.

Another pre season game done, not much to be gleaned from it, unfortunate that none of our front three have been able to get the ball into the back of the net so far, we move on, i don't bother too much about preseason results

The only negative is that we don't really have much of a pre season any more. No hill sprints, no camp at high altitude no real physical preparation. Players that don't arrive ready will fall behind by a lot

Maybe that will change next summer.

Serious question: What does Ceballos offer that someone like Mario Marin can't provide? All I've seen is a lot of flash and not much end product, and I’ve really been cheering for him to succeed here.

Their goalscorer isn’t from Masia, if that’s who you are referring to.
Meanwhile it’s one our own who scored for us tonight, and others had good showings too

They do that individually in the offseason.

Rodri needs to be very careful.

Arda looking very good, also saying this on paper as we still have not seen them all play together.
With Vini and KM up top you would need someone to thread a pass, Arda can do that.

To me he is already better than Rodrygo, Brahim and Endrick, so he should be the starter to the right in the attack with Vini and Mbappe

Martin was terrible vs Milan. Ceballos got contract renewal because of his performances at Villarreal in CDR, plus other tough fixtures like San Mames in 2022-23 when team was struggling post winter World Cup.

He went back to bench for veterans against Liverpool, Chelsea, City etc. Last season was marred with injuries and given we had 7 midfielders, barely needed him. He could provide depth option if he stays healthy this season.

Brother nobody was in high altitude. All went on vacation after the Copa/Euro.

I think Rodrygo will start the season due to seniority. There's more competition for places in attack this year so hopefully Rodrygo is more consistent and we see more performances like vs City rather than him not being involved and finishing not being sharp.
