Real Madrid will face: Ac Milan (01/08), Barcelona (04/08) and Chelsea (07/08) before the first office game vs Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup (14/08).
First game vs Milan, as it seem by training:

Mbappe, Bellingham and Carvajal won’t join the squad till the official game
    p.s.
This thread will be closed after the Atalanta game.

Not expecting much until Chelsea game, by which point we need everyone match ready for a trophy. Let's not forget that Atalanta demolished an undefeated team.

FWIW, Carlo mentioned academy players as depth options.

    Will they sign a centre-back?

The squad is complete. Vallejo has returned, Alaba is recovering. We have the youngsters: Joan, Jacobo and Raúl (Asencio). There are no departures because everyone wants to stay.

    Will the system change?

The system we are going to use can be a 4-3-3 or a 4-4-2. Like we did last year. Sometimes it was 4-2-3-1... We have the resources to use those systems.

Hard to call it a pre season when most important players are still on vacation

    More of a promotional tour

I would rather see Vallejo play heavy minutes to see how his body will hold up through the season. At least right now Madrid can go out to market and find a CB. When the window closes, it will be too late. Best not to rely on injury magnet Vallejo.

He could stay healthy during pre-season and get injured after the window closes too. Vallejo has barely played since 2021 and couple of those seasons was with RM.

Carlo didn't find the need to give him any minutes. So imo it's not a big deal whether Vallejo stays healthy or not. Jacobo has the talent and enough Castilla experience to replace someone like Vallejo.

Tcho will be 3rd choice CB until Alaba is back

Some reports say Vallejo will start. Did he take part in both full sessions though? I read he only did partial training on day 1 in Chicago.

Ceballos has a lot to prove this pre season if he’s actually going to try and get minutes this year. Same to be said for Fran.

Looking forward to seeing the trident of Diaz, Endrick and Guler.

This is Milan’s 3rd preseason game so their fitness levels should be better than ours

Endrick needs to try and stay on his feet. Too often he’s going to ground at first contact.

    Guler looking sublime.

Ceballos really does look like a poor man’s Kroos with his profile. So press resistant and can ping a pass wherever he wants.

His biggest weakness has always been that he takes too long to decide, not that he can’t complete the right move

Modric still has it. Great cross from Fran, heavy touch from ?

I think he’s trying too hard to make an impression every time he plays. What could have been an efficient one touch to Modric turns into him having to twisting and turning to maintain possession.
