Does anyone know when the team reports for pre-season training? Will they train in Fla or HDC? Also, last year LAG played in the pre-season La Mangia (Sp?) Cup - glorified training against international competition. Anyone heard if there is anything similar planned this year? I recall LAG taking the team on a pre-season road trip (I think to Chile), but I haven't heard anything from LAG about plans for this year yet.
I have heard we are not going back to Spain. However I have heard we and others will be training at HDC. Then we go to are u ready? Peru. Also Brazil. We may be getting some Scandinavian teams training at HDC also. At least one Hamarby FC will be here. Of course the team is owned by AEG.
I found one answer to my questions, and an article that might be of interest. The Excellent Jim Meissen already posted this on the MLS News board, but for those who don't go there regularly, here is an interesting story about our draftee, Ned Grabavoy: http://www.starnewspapers.com/star/spsports/smix/221sx5.htm Near the bottom of the story it mentions that Ned flies out here next week and training starts Feb. 2. I assume that means training is starting at Victoria Street.
