thinking of having a get together for Battery supporters in Jan or Feb.

Mostly a chance to get together and have a couple beers, but I have a couple banners and flags I want to have before March, and could use the extra help with painting, etc, and talk over a few ideas about growing our numbers and organizing a bit more before the CCC.

if your down, post here in this thread or send me a PM

They wouldn't mind you taking up a section of the pub with your group. Very often, there are groups up there, when we are there.

that is actually a pretty good idea.

I'm not sure they would want us painting a banner up there but we could move that outside between the pub and the Front Office (unless Tony or Andrew park their cars there!)

It might limit a few people showing up being a week nite but they are open by 6 or so right? could be a dinner and a few drinks night.

Every now and then, I have good idea.

I think, they open at 5, so Blackbaudians can come over for Happy Hour. Auggie usually parks in the breezeway. You could do it underneath the stands. Come scout it out tomorrow night. We were supposed to get some sort of entertainment, but Amy threatned to walk out, if there were any shenanigins.;)

Larry bought a couple of the checkered flags last year, I thought they were very good quality for the money. That tall 11 foot thingy looks impressive, I might have to spring for that one.

I liked a couple years ago when we had a national flag for all the countries represented on our roster and we'd fly all the colors every match. That was pretty cool. But I think Fetty owned most of them, so, now that he's up in the frozen tundra, we'll have to start over. There used to be a stall in the downtown market, on the East Bay end, that sold national flags for $5. Had flags for countries I never heard of. Had flags for countries that aren't even in existence anymore. Have to check and see if he's still there.

the guy is still there or was last week when I was down that way.

I liked the national flag theme as well. We should be able to hook that up easily enough.

Probably no where in Cola town, but you should wait, until the new kits are announced and ready for sale. The club should have a press release for it.

Like Mr. O said, unless you buy online ( http://www.charlestonbattery.com/shop_cdp.asp?categoryID=3 ) I think the only place to get a Battery shirt is at the stadium. but Im interested in seeing what the new one will look like (and if Saturn is still the sponsor)

I doubt the cheerleader thing too. maybe they can get the Hooter's girls out to serve soem beers again.

mascot is Cannonball basically a large soccer ball that is yellow and black. Im sure there are some photos out their.

    here are some youtube videos

They were in Puerto Rico. I know, that our new away kits are going back to the red and black stripes and on both, the name and number areas will be blacked out, so they're easier to read.
