I'm way to busy to give a full writeup on this one, but Iachini's glorious return

an 18 year old goal keeper's first start.

No Goldaniga, who, on top of being out a month on injury just lost his father in a traffic accident today.

    PORTIERI: Alastra, Marson, Posavec.

DIFENSORI: Andelkovic, Cionek, Gonzalez, Morganella, Pezzella, Rispoli, Struna, Vitiello.

CENTROCAMPISTI: Brugman, Chochev, Cristante, Hiljemark, Jajalo, Maresca, Quaison.

ATTACCANTI: Balogh, Bentivegna, Djurdjevic, Gilardino, Trajkovski, Vazquez.

No clue on whether the 3-5-2 will return in place of the 4-3-3. Lazaar still out is going to hurt either way.

Any points would be great, I expect none.

At least this one will be viewable on TV- BeIN Sports has this listed as their afternoon game. Not expecting it to be a good watch, but it will be nice not to have to hunt down a stream.

Genoa jumped ahead of Palermo today with a win over Udinese (another team hovering right around the bottom), plus Carpi and Verona both picked up a point. Frosinone is still 0-0 with Lazio at the start of the second half

Things were looking relatively comfortable for Palermo a few weeks ago, but the bottom is getting a lot more competitive. Palermo would only be a point from a relegation spot if Frosinone wins and Palermo loses...

Lets hope Iachini can get this team back on track. I'm optimistic that 35 points will be safe. Thats just 9 points in the last 13 games.

    PALERMO: 53 Alastra; 23 Struna, 12 Gonzalez, 4 Andelkovic; 77 Morganella, 10 Hiljemark, 16 Brugman, 28 Jajalo, 97 Pezzella; 20 Vazquez (cap.), 11 Gilardino.

    A disposizione: 1 Posavec, 2 Vitiello, 3 Rispoli, 8 Trajkovski, 9 Bentivegna, 15 Cionek, 18 Chochev, 21 Quaison, 22 Balogh, 24 Cristante, 25 Maresca, 99 Djurdjevic.

    Looks like a 3-5-2 again

along with 18 year old Alastra, 18 year old wingback Pezzella also gets a start. He's naturally a right sided player, but looks like he'll fill in on the left in place of the injured Lazaar. He's been on the bench several times, and even made two sub appearances with the full team, but this will be his first start

Meanwhile Chochev is dropped for Brugman, possibly for a slightly more attacking option in the middle.

I expect very little from this outing, so I'm ready to be pleasantly surprised. Frosinone earned a point off Napoli, so anything would help

Roma with some odd passages of play early on.

But they are clearly the better side.

Hopefully an error results in a Palermo goal

I dont know what I would expect from an 18 year old, but Alastra's movements don't evoke much confidence.

He looks a bit lost. So far he hasn't had any real saves to make though

Vazquez extraordinarily lucky to not give up a PK. seemed a clear foul, yet it was given as a FK in Palermo's favor

Dzeko just missed an absolute sitter. All of Palermo gave up on the play just assuming it'd be a goal.

It went straight across the goalmouth. lol

Dzeko doesn't miss a second time though. Struna misses a header to clear, Dzeko finds himself all alone

    1-0
