The break is over. Palermo returns to action tomorrow.

With Gonzalez suspended for a match (yellow card accumulation), there will be a defensive change, but otherwise likely much the same. Otherwise, Ballardini confirmed Vazques will start behind two strikers, and that Arteaga won't be called up yet.

    ----------Gilardino-Trajkovski-----------
    -----------------Vazquez-------------------
    ----Chochev----Jajalo----Hiljemark----
    Lazaar-Andjelkovic-Goldaniga-Struna

Seems like the likely set up, with Vitiello still out injured. Maybe an outside chance for El Kaoutari instead, but Ballardini doesn't seem to prefer him, with there being rumors that he will be sold already this window.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina has 10 goal scorer Kalinic, along with former Palermo player Josip Ilicic, who might have left on better terms than he did...

Fiorentina have the recent edge in the series, with 5 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses, including 4-3 and 3-2 wins last season. Palermo haven't won since 2011, where Ilicic assisted on the fist and scored the second goals in a 2-0 win for Palermo.

Currently sitting in 2nd, just a point behind Inter, this will not be an easy game for Palermo, who need to something to keep up the chase for 40 points.

    Missed this one entirely.

Ilicic with two first half goals, Gilardino comes on as a sub for a second half goal, before Fiorentina ices it 3-1.

I missed this one as well- the new year screwed me up, for some reason I thought tomorrow was our first game of 2016. All the better, I guess, I would not have enjoyed watching this anyway.
