That’s a huge drag for the kid. Was looking forward to seeing him in this game and the wc at some point.

That is too bad. He dribbled through Finland defense like they were standing still.

Everyone here is talking the finer points of soccer, because we know the game and love the game. You have a reductionist take. Bah.

We disagree. I don't think McKenzie needed to make an exceptional play.

the blindspots? you know their necks rotate right? outside of directly behind a player they shouldn't have a blind spot but then again...they can turn.

love the idea though that three players couldn't see a guy right infront of them like their noses was in the way creating a blind spot lol. how did adams track back if he didn't see him? just dumb luck he was next to him ?

have to admit its the funniest excuse I've heard.

sounds like what he is saying as soon as the ball was turned over mane moved through the blindspots of players like a ninja and the guy with the ball had a forcefield up protecting him so a goal was always going to be the result of the turnover. someone would've had to get a special power up or like a boost pack that are hidden on the pitch to stop them haha.

They were rightly focusing on the strong side of the play, which featured Ream doing nothing. It's tough to be constantly checking your shoulder when the freight train is coming at you. That's life.
Mane wasn't 'right in front of them'.

McKenzie had already checked his shoulder to register his man, Nicolas Jackson.
But Mane then ghosted in behind as Jackson drifted back. I think to stop all of that whilst rightly focusing on the strong-side disaster developing would've been a heck of lot more 'expectational' than Ream simply making some sort of effort to pressure Diarra. But sure, we can disagree.

yeah I have to admit you are right

players are taught simple principles in this sport when defending.

1)focus on the ball, never try to see angles, runners, other players
    2)never look away from the ball...ball watch...ball watch...ball watch

7:20 adams turns his head towards mane and literally POINTS AT HIM. you think he was pointing to his blind spot....'uh everyone I don't know if anyone is in this area so im going to look and point at it because I can't see it' haha

7:23 he literally when the ball is turned over turns his head and looks back at mane

7:25 turns his head again looks right at him haha

7:26 turns his head again and looks at him

7:27 adams literally turns his head and looks right at mane...freeman is also looking at him. the idea he was invisible just not true.

7:29 mane has now stepped literally in front of Adam's face. he is literally three feet away right in front of him the idea he was in a ''blind spot' is a made up myth.

not only was he not in a blindspot adams identified him repeatedly.

I think some people say things and forget the entire thing is on video.

You have entered the theater of the absurd to distract from Ream not making a very simple straightforward defensive play that several USMNT players have called Ream out for.

    Why?

oh no ream screwed up I've said it in the thread on the match repeatedly. all he had to do was step up and atleast be a traffic cone. he didn't have to made a good play. Ream was running away from the play like he was being chased.

I am making fun of his notion that Mane was in everyones blind spot because I find that to be one of the funniest excuses I've ever heard.

So, the US soccer website has said for weeks this game is on TBS.

However, my XFINITY channel guide says it's on TNT.

    Anyone know WTF?

I watch live, but I need to be able to record the game, in case I need a break to take the dog out etc.

And hopefully Ream doesn't escort the attack down field again.

I agree that not every goal against is the result of a mistake by the defense. But I don’t agree with the application of that maxim to this instance. Ream could and should have done better.

Every TV guide I have access to has the match on TBS @2:30 PM followed by the USWNT vs Brazil in Brazil. If one site disagreed with another then I might be concerned but with the guides agreeing everywhere including Sling, ESPN, Emby guide data, local TV listings and several others I have good confidence that the match will be on TBS as scheduled.
However, the earlier USMNT match was listed on one of the guides as being on TNT but it was, as all the other guides said, on TBS.
Also the channels involved, including TRU, sometime switch things up at the last minute usually to adapt to schedule changes. But if the pre match show is on TBS I would expect the match itself to be there. So you can just verify the pre-match and then start the recording and if something does happen to pull you away from the screen you will have the recording to fall back on.
Or, you can do as a neighbor of mine is doing and set up recordings of TBS, TNT and TRU all at the match time and then not have to worry about is any guide or station is being untruthful about the schedule.

EDIT to add: The guide data on both Emby TV and Sling have both just changed the matches to TNT but ESPN still shows it on TBS. Now I really do not know what is happening. I would record the time period on bothe TBS and TNT just to be sure if I felt I needed to have a recording. <sigh>

EDIT 2: I had the matches set up to record on TBS and Sling, much to my surprise, switched the recording as well as the schedule itself to TNT. I did not think Sling was smart enough to do anything like that.

What are the chances that Poch starts the players who didn’t get any run against Senegal – Wright, Aaronson, Arfsten?

    It's TNT.

Right now they're running a documentary about the NASL in the 70s before the game coverage begins.

Looks like it is Miles Robinson + the best 10 other players available in the starting XI today.

    Freese starts.

Miles Robinson? I understand the human element of wanting him to get redemption but this moment is too valuable to squander.
